Wow. Another first; a Schultz column I agree with. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

We're all too poor down here to make the drive to the ATL. So I'll be watching you on the interwebs. Make us Thrashers fans proud (to be embarassed)!

My signs will be in French for the benefit of the Quebecois both in the house and watching in Canada.

We can embarrass ourselves nationally but not locally since SportsSouth is not covering it. However, there is a free preview of NHL Network this week (check local listings) so you can still watch it if you want.

Nice of them to throw the renewal info up the day before the town hall. While teams are slashing ticket prices left and right to get fans in the door the Thrashers have decided to go the other way by keeping prices flat almost across the board. That surely sounds like a winning strategy.

this GDT has been up for a month. if it were a brand new one, it would have the lines up there. I'm sure someone will come along and post the lines up.

I'm leaving work here at around 4, grabbing some paper bags from the local liquor store, then hopping on the bus and making my way to the arena. We'll design the bags when we're there.

One of the many bad things about the Thrashers stinking, is that the building is never full. Philips Arena is a heck of alot of fun when the place is packed. The boos are louder, the AWWWWs when we almost score a goal are louder, and the place goes nuts when we score.

Let's treat ourselves to a sold out building for this piss poor team at least once more this year.

Let's show the hockey world that we do care, unlike some parts of the organization.

Lehtonen looked pretty sharp tonight.

Kovalchuck a beast, no surprise there.

Peverley was a bit of a shock. He was actually pretty damn effective. Seems like a good waiver-wire pickup for you guys.

Nice win there - always good to see Carboneau pout like a little girl.

Hainsey is a better defenseman than I thought and Bogosian looks like he's going to be a really good one...

ESPN says about 14,800 was there. I call ********.

Great game, and great to see all the other people expressing discontent. I saw a few bag heads, and a guy holding a sign written in French (Bongo?) with the RDS logo at the bottom, among others.

If any of you saw me, I was the one in the Russian Kovalchuk sweater with "Fire Waddell" on the front of my bag, and "Atlanta Spirit Sucks!" on the back.

We're saving our signs (Mine read, "WANTED: NEW OWNERS WHO LOVE HOCKEY!") and bags for the Detroit game on the 20th.

I was unable to go tonight, but from what I heard, the attempted protest was a total bust.

From what I have heard, I have to agree. I could not watch the game because Dish Network somehow stopped showing the free NHL Network preview right before my DVR was going to record it. I thought I heard a Atlanta Spirit Sucks chant early in the game on radio, really not sure though.

I must admit, the owners or DW are well read. To throw Ilya out at the STH Townhall meeting right after someone asked a question about the owners, pretty savvy stuff. Bread and Circuses to appease the crowd is straight out of the Roman Emperors playbook.

I got a lot of interest in my signs from the Montreal fans. One lady told me the spirit lawsuit was making the news up there simply because it's hockey related. I told her she probably knows more about it than we do. BTW, that wasn't me you saw. My RDS design was veritcal

Maybe the next protest we should all sit together. Kudos to the boys though. Good, solid effort for 60 minutes this time.

Just like the team to ruin the plans of the fans. Maybe we should stage a protest every home game? Would have helped the crowd if we played a sexier team too.

I was going to go to the Calgary game, but NONE of the owners showed up to the STH meeting. I'm not paying to protest, I'm just boycotting. Haven't been to a game since early November. We're a team that's sooooo cheap that we won't send one-way contract guys to Chi when they deserve it (EC). Nonsense.
