MAINEiacs denied ... Titan 30 days?

Members mandate Commissioner; Titan granted 30-day extension
http://www.lhjmq.qc.ca/lang_en/?page..._nouvelle=2022

It appears that le Junior de Montréal are withholding their territorial rights (Boisbriand, QC).

I'm hoping that Lewiston & Bathurst can turn things around. I'm a strong supporter of small market teams & I sincerely hope that fans rally behind their teams.

These 2 clubs can not survive where they are.. The attendance is not sufficient ...This we do know

The solution to where both these clubs will locate and when at this time is unknown....

I was wondering if any of you QMJHL fans could answer this question?

I was wondering why Sherbrooke doesn't have a QMJHL team because Sherbrooke is a pretty big City that could definitely support a QMJHL team based on the population. I was just wondering why Sherbrooke doesn't currently have a team?

Because the Castors moved to Lewiston to become the MAINEiacs.

With this announcement, does this provide Lewiston fans added time to boost their fan support numbers?

Sherbrooke may very well end up being a destination for one of tghese 2 teams

There is also speculation that Lewiston has found a loop hole in the QMJHL rules which will bring them to Broisbrand for 2010...

i was really hoping for a boisbrand-montreal rivalry. Montreal is not a 1 team market though. Boisbrand is about 25 minutes away from where the juniors play in verdun so i dont think it would have caused any problems fan base wise

Its hard to say if it would be a good thing or not.Montreal does not have a great track record the last while of major jr support. If te montreal jr team was avg 10,000 a game ya i could see it may be worth the gamble. You lose a couple thousands fans not a big deal. However the montreal team is avg 3500 is good but if you have 2 team in the same area with 2,000 per game yes i think that would be a issue.

With the right ownership and good marketing they could support a team, they've got the arena.

Wasn't Trois-Rivieres just waiting for a team to close up shop and move there?
