What Star frustrated you the most?

Sort of like the thread on the main board about players you wish were never here.

So what Star frustrated you the most while in Dallas?

For me it has to be between Pierre Turgeon and Ladislav Nagy.

I am going to give the nod to Ladislav Nagy, I was pumped when we first made the move to acquire him. It didn't last long, he made no impact at all. He was a lazy floater. He was never the same after his injuries in PHX. While Turgeon had disappointing numbers compared to his earlier years he was less useless than Nagy and was winding down his career plus he didn't cost a 1st round pick.

Janne Niinimaa.

I hate him with a passion.

Turgeon, Niinimaa, Nagy, Stefan, Lindros, Guerin, Hatcher, Matvichuk, and at times Arnott.

And Donald Audette only lasted 20 games in Dallas, but I'd say he qualifies as well.

Sydor, without question.

Honorable mention to Pierre Turgeon.

Arnott, aka 'The Tin Man': the biggest, soft player in Stars history; has great talent, but was the embodiment of too many players on the roster who never actually played with any heart; said he wanted to stay then spoke ill of the org. when he signed in Nashville

Mitchell: I'll never forget his just standing around while in skate's distance watching the puck slowly slide into the net in the playoffs; his inspired play in Vancouver is a 180 from his lazy play in Dallas; worthless; made Skoula appear to be an All-Star

Honorable mention: Sylvain Cote

ARNOTT!!!

Never seen a guy who should dominate night and night out suck so often.

He would be a bull for two games and then coast for ten. Made me absolutely crazy.

Valeri Bure. I was excited when we got him and thought he would be more of an impact player.

I thought V. Bure was pretty solid while he was here.

For me it's definitely Guerin. By no means the worst of course, far from it, but no other player continually frustrated me more. He could've done so much for this team had he not become a floater/perimeter player extraordinaire. That damned toe-drag.

Wow, I completely forgot Valeri Bure used to play for Dallas.

I still remember how close we came to getting Pavel; if I remember correctly, it was down to us or the Rangers. Guess who won.

Arnott for me.

Guerin was ineffective at times, but he always had a freak injury in the playoffs (bloody thigh in 03, blood eye a couple years later). Arnott never had that type of problem and he just absolutely vanished.

I always felt Turgeon was the victim of being a square peg in a round hole. He never fit into the Stars system, even when they brought Young in.

Skoula frustrated me cause he sucked, as did Niinimaa. This new version of Sydor frustrates me for the same reasons. But at least I felt like they gave a damn about the games they were playing.

As much as he sucked it up here in Dallas it is pretty hard for me to put him on that list simply for the return he brought when he left, probably the best thing to ever leave Dallas....well...aside from Avery. Ok so second best thing.

Personally I gotta go with Arnott, Nagy, and Lindros.

Okay, Kritter. You can hate Sydor all you want, but to say he doesn't give "a damn" is unfair

Anyone remember in 03-04 when Chris Therrien led the stars in the playoffs in goals? A lot of the guys people mentioned were part of that team, winners they were.

Oh, that's what I'm saying. I feel like he and Skoula and Niinimaa do care about nearly every game they play in (or did, in the case of the latter two) and that Arnott, and sometimes Guerin, didn't.

I'm glad he got us Ribs. But I hated him then. I hated him as he was traded. And I still hate him to this day.

I couldn't even tell you why. I just hate him. Really the only Star that I HATED to have on the team since becoming a Stars fan.

I would get so mad when he would get called and bring a big bag of nothing to the line up.

honorable mention

Ladislav Nagy

There are alot of Sydor haters on this site...I just dont get it...He is not great on either side of the ice, but gets the job done and plays the system well. He Brings great leadership to the ice, and I think Sydor is the reason Niskanen has made a 180 from the start of the year.

By getting the job done, you mean shooting the puck at our net and passing the puck to our team right.

He's played better in this 4 game win streak, but even in that I saw him "accidentally" shoot at Marty once...and turn the puck over in prime places at least 4-5 times.

He's a great leader. No doubt. But ice quality, guh.

I didn't mind Turgeon and I miss Arnott, and Hatcher and Matvichuk I tohught was good until he left. Everyone else I agree with but add in Sydor V2 and Sydor V3. I wish Averey would have been a better teammate.
