He's big and MEAN. He was part of the Ray Bourque deal a few years back. He's been traded several times, and like most Huge Defenseman, take more time to develop.

Don't know too much about the guy, but it doesn't sound like we made out as good as we have in previous trades.

Can somebody tell me why the hell Tom Poti is still on this team?

Are you kidding? Grierier is as tough as a D-Man as the Rangers have in the system. And another 2nd round pick. For a guy who is a free agent.

In all of these trades (other then Leetch and DeVries) the Rangers are giving up nothing! They are losing players for 13 games.

Would you be anxious to him to YOUR playoff bound team? I wouldn't.

I'm always a little weary of these hulking d-man, but we got a 2nd for a pending UFA. Can't argue with that.

The pick has to be in the 2005 draft as the 'Nucks traded their 2nd this year for Hedberg.

Because he is "the next Leetch" according to our President/GM/Head Honcho

Sigh...I guess we're stuck with him now

Again, why the hell did we help Burke out and take Umberger? We could of had him for nothing. We should have stuck with the second. And nuck fans dont seem very high on this Grenier kid AT ALL...

Actually, Umberger is pretty much equivalent to a second round pick. If the Rangers don't sign him, we'll get a second pick as compensation from the league. What I'm hoping is that Sather will work out a deal with Umberger, let him become a UFA, and then sign him. That way we get a second and get to keep RJ also.

BTW, Grenier is crap.

Obviously, you haven't seen Umberger play.

If letting him go means we get a 2nd from the league, so be it! Still another pick.
