Most likely by the deadline?

With 3 weeks and 2 days remaining til the trade deadline, what does everything think will happen by March 4?

Play the Glen Sather prediction game!

I think Glen will move Gomez in a deal that makes most of us around here pretty happy.

There needs to be a fifth option for "minor move or two, nothing earth-shattering". That would get my vote.

I think that if the Rangers lose tonight and Renney is not fired, he'll be kept until at least the end of the season.

I think that Slats will try to make a big trade. Whether he'll pull it off is another story.

I hope he doesn't make a quick fix trade. I'd be delighted to move some money or get picks/prospects. I think we'll just have to eat this season and probably the next one too.

Problem is, it depends on what the teams does between now and then. I think that the team will continue to tank as long as Renney is coach - therefore, I think that he'll get canned.

If, by some miracle, they win a few games (especially starting tonight), then the other options (particularly nothing big), become more likely.

I'm usually pessimistic about this franchise, but I just have this gut feeling that Glen will surprise us.

Is trading coaches for prospects an option?

Not sure about now but its been done in the past. Actually lets see how many posters remember this.

Quiz: Twice in the history of the franchise the Rangers have changed coaches resulting in the movement of draft picks. Who where the two coaches involved in these transactions?

Well, it wasn't a draft pick but the Ranger got compensations for Keenan.

sadly i think Avery is the big move and that will hopeully get Gomez going

From their it's picking up a back end tough Dman like O'Brien from Vancouver

Dealing Prucha and Kalinin for a underachieving forward like Arnason from Col or just waiving the salary

a high draft pick , Dawes and a guy like Sauer in an attempt to get some sort of top 6 would be nice

I thought Keenan too, but were picks traded? Thought it was Keenan, Tikkanen & Lidtser for Nedved. No picks.
