Why the heck would you want him then?

I'd be thrilled if this happened.

But, honestly, I think if we do anything it will be something minor. Perhaps make a trade for a 3rd line player or a 20-goal scorer to add some depth but it won't be anything worth noting.

Yeah, I think that's the most likely scenario. It's just my gut that tells me something big will happen.

Sorry, my bad. We gave up a first round pick for Bergeron. I incorrectly remembered us geting Nedved and a pick from St. Louis for Iron Mike. Now that I'm thinking about it we may have only gotten Nedved and no pick. SBOB, you seem to remember this better -- was it only Nedved or was their a pick involved?

I give up on all the rumors, that's for one thing. It can drive a "die hard" nuts. I remember the days where I would just show up to the game and... "oh, would you look at that. The Rangers acquired Pat Verbeek. Isn't that nice?" I just happened to go to his first game as a Ranger at the Coliseum.
Sather will do something big when we all are not expecting it. Almost like my current career situation. I'm thinking something better will pop up when I least expect it. So clearing your mind of positive expectations seems to be the first step. I mean, thinking back to 1990. How many of you had a clue the Rangers were going to get Messier. I'll be the first to say I did not.
