Hey leave alcohol out of this...thats just going to far. Without our good friends Mr. Coors, Mr. McCormick, Jose Cuervo, and Mr. Busweiser I would have had alot more boring weekends and worse yet, I would have remembered them(shutter).

Now THERE'S a team we can be proud of. Easily, the best Ranger game of the season, maybe in years.

Holik looks like he wants to lead this team into the future. I'd prefer he be doing it in a checking role, but the overall effort was incredible.

Ortmeyer is a potential Selke winner in this league, no doubt about it. The slide block on Kovalchuck late in the 3rd was unbelievable. This kid is sure to gain York-like in NY next season.

Too bad JD couldn't tell us ONE MORE TIME that "Messier is a Ranger and he's going to stay a Ranger".

Agree somewhat on Ortmeyer...

York-like may be a stretch until Ortmeyer scores. His defense is very good. His work ethic is very good. He has good size and uses it. He actually has a decent shot and can handle the puck pretty well. But can this guy bury the puck? If he's going to be a 'Selke'-type player, that means he'll be on the ice for a lot of minutes - and I don't care how good defensively you are, if you're on the ice for 15-17 minutes per game, you will need to score points. Can he do it? Can he score 10-15 goals in a season to Holik's right? Can he play on a top line, a la Lehtinen, and get up to 20 and be a defensive presence? Or is he topping at 5-10, which in such a case, it would be tough to give him those minutes? Of course, now's the time to see, but the coaching staff doesn't want to, I guess.

ladies, ladies...... don't make Uncle Edge break out the discipline stick.......

you guys wanna talk hockey go for it, but keep the social jabbing to a minimal or out completely.

We dont want this to turn into the friend chickens message boards over here where everyone sounds like they have a 4th grade education.....

than call him on that, but both of you guys need to cool it.

There's always gonna be someone who pisses you off on this board. Heck, i piss myself off all the time.

but seriously seeing the hockeyfight boards drove me nuts, and the overall quality of the boards is lagging as is without people sligning mud at each other.

debate your hearts away, but dont get nasty.

Gotta hand it to Poti though, twice he stopped Kovalchuk with the Poti-Pokecheck one on one in the Rangerzone. If only he'd have an ounce of aggressiveness in that game of his

I really liked what i saw from some of the guys last night. Garth Murray is gonna be a player. Tyutin was all over, but kept to his responsibilities, and Ortmeyer looked like the fastest player out there. Lots of positives, even though i was cursing them for getting more points, moving further away from the top 5 in the draft

I think some fans are making too much about the icetime the Vets are getting compared to the youngsters. I prefer to bring these guys along slowly, and at the same time they have to earn the icetime, even if they're competition is a guy like Hlavac.

I bet what we should do is trade Hlavac for Kudroc in the offseason. Afterall, he did have two good games.

Pretty damn good to be honest, I just wished he got more icetime. Made a really nice move with the puck deep in the the offensive zone to make a play.

This kid is gonna be a player
