Sorry but I feel no sympathy whatsoever. Habs at their worst are still better than the Oilers at their best. Well maybe I used a bit of hyperbole but whatever. The outcome of the game is never in doubt, in fact it's so predictable it's disgusting. Habs on losing streak + team meeting + Loliers at home after road trip = Habs win easily.

I just hope it's not a total embarrassment, 'cause there's going to be alot of fans wearing Bleu, Blanc et Rouge. But then Rexall is such a library nowadays (not that I blame the fans after being treated to the most boring hockey in the NHL and 9-2/10-2 losses), we could get outcheered by a pin dropping.

Are there many teams that have a weaker 1st line than us right now?

We have a 4th liner whose a 3rd liner on a good day, a 3rd liner whose a 2nd liner with the right linemates, and a 1st liner.

You mean you sent us another Robbie Nilsson? Dazzles you for a few games with his all world skill and then mails it in for a month?

Law, sweet GDT. Hey Oiler fans just wanted to come in here and let you know you have a good teammate in Law. He is excellent with x's and o's and plays balls to the walls for 60 minutes a night. He is dedicated and is very detail oriented. We miss him already on the Isles board. Good luck in Edmonton Law!

****ing awesome GDT, love the youtube. Hopefully you can be consistent with these GDT's. Because recently we've been really inconsistent, and it's showing.

wow. I cut back on reading the boards and we went to the Dark Side. Or the Twilight Zone.

Or maybe the dark side of the twilight zone.

It's become fun again around here.

Sweet GDT, but I'm giving it 5 games to see Law's productivity.
Some folks come out of the gate running and then die on the vine.

I don't usually agree with you, but you are right. Montreal is coming off a bad loss and have been struggling. I think they win handily.

Does Montreal have any players who are goalless in 60-70-80+ games? If so they should break out tonight as per usual.

What you're pointing to isn't a weakness, its called "team depth". 'We' have such depth that 'our' fourth and third liners are capable of moving up and down the roster as needed . And if you believe that, I have a rather large bridge spanning the river valley to sell you - MacTavish is currently considering it.

Remember last year, 'we' had "team toughness" to go along with that "team depth". It worked out quite well .

Team depth without the talent is like team toughness without a legitimate tough guy - its all smoke and mirrors. 'We' now have MacIntyre, lets get some talent.

Speaking of MacIntyre, I wonder if he and Georges will go at it? Laraque isn't a cheap player, so I would not be surprised if nothing materialized. Heavy weights fighting just for the sake of fighting is nonsense. This team needs an enforcer to patrol the ice, rather than a heavyweight to fight other heavyweights exclusively.

Here's hoping for Montreal, as 'our' management is seemingly unwilling to do anything other than stay the course (Laforge said as much in the email he sent me). Maybe a few more losses will alter that course. Plus, there are worse things than losing to an original six team - even if that team is the Canadiens.

Montreal 4 - Oilers 2

Oops, sorry about that. Took the standings off of NHL.com, must not have been finished updating them. Basically, I blame myself for not catching it, but I blame Bettman for them being wrong in the first place.
