Call Up Fistric, Right Now

There is no reason, excuse, or rationale for him to not be playing every night in Dallas.

The cap is no longer a factor.

Sydor is the Stars' worst defenseman since Skoula.

Hutchinson gets exposed as his minutes climb.

The Stars have mismanaged Fistric long enough.

Get him up here, and get him acclimated for the stretch run.

But what about his leadership? That trade was why we started playing better.

Stu + Sydor on the bench.

Make it happen.

Good lord does no one pick up on my sarcasm? I wanted him waived two minutes after he first stepped on the ice. It's one of my biggest problems with Tippet and yet another reason why he should be fired.

Have none of you read any of the glowing stories or heard comments from Tippett or Razor about Sydor? Sheesh.

This is not a thread about Sydor. If the team feels that he must be on the ice for them to function, so be it.

Scratch Hutchinson and waive Janik.

Make room.

Fistric and his first place Moose shut down Avery's (DNP) Wolf Pack tonight. Another plus game for the 6-2 230 anchor.

Then again, we might not want to mess up Manitoba's roll.

**** Manitoba, they're not Dallas's team.

We need Fistric, time to call him up. AHL babysitter be damned!

Yet for the team to get the most out of Fistric, it would have to be on one of the PK units. Daley's got one left-handed PK spot secured, and it would be Sydor who should lose that spot for Fistric.

Robidas? Solidly defensive all season long? No.

Hutchinson has made the least amount of noticeable mistakes.

This defense very nearly wholesale changes. Sydor and Robidas need to go for sure. Hutchinson is serviceable for the time being, be in reality he should be a #6 guy. Daley and Niskanen should be rounding out your top 4, not playing on the top pair. Right now, Grossman is the only really outstanding defenseman that I think we have.

He is.

He plays less time than anyone else at ES, and he has no special teams time.

I hate Sydor as much as anyone but is Fistric going to be the fix? He has not played an NHL game is what almost a year? Do we really think that he will be any better at this point? I say make a trade for a D man (not some bid #1 stud) that will cost us maybe only a 2nd round pick and a lower tier prospect.

2.5 to 3 months

He was sent down in November after Zubov came off LTIR the first time after he played 11 games.

Seems like longer but i guess not...Nevertheless at this point would he be any better than Sydor? I don't see it and i think Sydor is pure garbage!

Calling for Sydor to sit is a waste of time and energy. Team loves him. Coach loves him.

Maybe it's a superstitious thing. He comes in and Avery disappears and the season gets turned around. They could see him as a good luck charm.

Then cut off his already decrepit foot, affix it to a key chain and stick it in Tippett's pocket. There's a point when superstition needs to be called out for what it is; poppycock.

If Fistric makes the Stars a better team on the ice than Sydor or whomever, he needs to be out there playing. I think he does, have thought so for some time now, but would Tippett actually change the defensive pairings if Fistric was in Dallas?
