It was the not quite empty net.

Vancouver is so gonna tie this. The Stars just can't waste all those golden opportunities.

1:30 to go in the game with an empty net and a one goal lead = Neal and Petersen on the ice

Never would of thought you'd see much of that back before the season started, but it's great what those 2 have been able to do this season.

Would have been better if Steel, the Real Deal, King James had scored

Phew the last minute was a long one with plenty of mad scrambling involved. Sweet win.

Nice win.

Liiiiitle scrambly at times, and obnoxiously close since Modano and Neal can't hit empty nets, but it's a very important two points.

I didn't see the first, but what I saw from Turco in the second and third was nice, especially given some of the wackiness that took places in the general vicinity of his crease.

Canucks fan here.

Great game. Turco looked outstanding. Dallas is my second-favourite team in the league, but I don't get to catch their games as often as I would like. I'm really glad to see you guys going back to the playoffs, because hope though I might, I don't think this is our year.

I remember at the beginning of the season seeing all kinds of amazing Turco highlights when he was at the bottom of the league for save percentage and goals against average. Has he always been like this but just been supremely unlucky, or was he truly awful at the beginning of the season and has since re-found his game?

I'll see you guys and gals tomorrow.

Will we see "The Wrath of Krahn"?

This game was begging for Fistric's crease clearing, but hey, a win is a win. Turco got things under control as the night went on. The offense has definitely been snake-bitten lately. They're going to break through in a big way again here soon.

Truly awful. Think that goal he allowed tonight times 3 or 5 a night.

You should trade Turco to the east.

I'm tired of playing against him.

Crucial win as it takes a bit of pressure off going into Chicago.

It's gonna be tough tommorow night but on current form I think we can get something.

Willing to bet Turco starts in goal, Tippett wont have the confidence to start Krahn.

A little of both, really, but mostly just awful in the first two months. The defense was playing like they just picked up the game of hockey too and the forwards weren't backchecking like they are now, so the numbers weren't only Marty's fault. However, the first goal by Pyatt tonight was like many others Turco allowed previously.

That was one of the most nerve racking regular season games I've ever been to.

Wow. Great game. Great win. Way to go Stars!

He was just plain awful at the start of the season. Absolutely awful.

This is most definitely, refreshing.
