Is the Canadian bias against us...

now dead. With all the trades we made and a least one player to each Canadian team, do the officials start to give us a break? We all know how one sided the calls are against us on most night does this change anything? I saw today that Sather is now a new hero of the people in Canada and the trade deadline day will be renamed Slats day, so you never know. Hehe

well, we traded all of our guys with reputations, except holik and purinton...
so, now we have a bunch of young guys that the ref's hopefully won't pick on, and messier who's seniority let's him get away with stuff.

Yesterday I was trying to be funny but toady after reading Brooks in the post I'm not so sure there maybe some truth to it all.
Quote:
A year ago the league suspended Bryan Trottier for two games when thethen-Ranger coach sent Krzysztof Oliwa and Sandy McCarthy onto the ice for a faceoff with 2.5 seconds to go in a blowout game in Columbus, after which a hockey brawl ensued. Yet now, when what happened Monday had nothing whatsoever to do with hockey, the NHL stands by, its inaction, implicitly endorsing Crawford's behavior.

Hero in Canada?

look at the players and where they went...Kovalev to MTL...won't be able to afford him July 1, he's a Ranger. Rucinsky to VAN...won't want to afford him July 1, he's a Ranger. Simon to Calgary...won't be able to afford him July 1, he's a Ranger... Nedved to Edmonton...probably won't pick up $5 million option come July 1, he's a Ranger.

I take it that you think the prejudice will continue. Maybe if all the Canadian teams making the playoffs it will help.
