What was I thinking, us winning a game with Budaj in net? That goal wasn't his fault, but the others were.

Wow. Halak and Budaj are night and day in this game. I just can't believe how often Budaj lets in a 'deflating' goal (i.e. in the last few minutes of the game, after a huge penalty kill, a weak goal, etc.).

Who didn't believe, deep down, that no matter how many good things the Avs did in this game, they'd still find a way to have one key play lose the game?

To steal a line from the poster formerly known as "darkboy"...

I've seen inspirational football movies that were less predictable than this.

Avalanche hockey is abysmal these days. By far the most its been in a long long time. I dont even enjoy watching anymore, not cause we lose but because it seems like we dont do anything out there.

********** predictable. The Avs outplay the Habs in every way possible, but the ******** goalie gives up two **** goals.

Story of the damn season. And lamebrain GM still has "confidence" in Peter Budaj.

Moronic.

Man, this game is depressing, and so predictable I just gotta laugh. And that empty net goal seals it. Freakin funny.

Wow **** FG and TG Im so damn sick of this, There is no reason for Hensick to be a healthy scratch at this point in the season. At the very least he should be playing big minutes. Yet Ice Turd scores tonight and now they can validate their playing him all this time. I have lost all ****ing faith. They better do something at the trade deadline to rebuild this team. I dont know if I can continue to support an orginization that supports TG and Arnason.

Btw Halak looked pretty effin good tonight and id take him over boods any day to those of you that said Halak = Boods in another thread

lol at the Empty net goal!

Its ok boys Giguere thinks Budaj is one the best young goalies... Must feel good to lose to Montreals back up...Budajs usual 2 soft goals has destroyed this season for the Avs. The breezeby goal? Seriously I have seen bantam goalies make that save...and when he needs to come through in a big way at the end of the game...he ***** the bed. If Budaj is still in an Avs uni next season I want my fan pass revoked.

Just got home, and saw the highlights... Nice defense by Hannan and tDuke on the game winner.

It's pretty telling kids, when every team is starting their back-up goalie against tAvs.

That last play with a PP and 33 second left....He lets Hejduk take a face-off against Saku...Does Granato know that Hejduk isnt a faceoff guy? Seriously whats Hejduks percentage in the circle? He put Hejduk out there to fail...tthats bad coaching...he scratches Hensick against a fast team thats bad coaching...he has Darcy ****in tucker out with a minute to go thats bad coaching...This team is 15th in the west because FG is a horrible decision maker.

Like Ice berg just said its bad coaching, I mean A Ken Hitchcok team can beat us with some no name AHL goalie a few nights ago, then Halak comes in and makes nearly 50 saves, its not bad bounces its bad defence and bad goal tending and thats on the coaching staff
