They would help us out, the same reason we would help them out: both teams are in free fall and we can't afford to be.

it does make sense though that pittsburgh might want kovalev. he had his best years with them and they still praise him every time they play the habs on their tv coverage. but i'd want more than whitney for him.

Here's what I don't get from a lot of you guys.
If you don't like the Eklund stuff, why do you even bother replying to this kind of thread?

Do you think you bring valuable information by saying that Eklund is a moron? You're just as insignificant as the guy you're *****ing about.

Don't like it? Don't read it and definitely, don't reply.

Not a big enough move to make a significant change. This wont make us a contender. No point.

I doubt that very much.

And he will wake up as soon as he joins another team if that team is in the playoff race.

I have a feeling so as well...Kovalev will be a beast if he get traded.

If we trade him, it got to be in the West...

All that Eklund non-sense beside, are you serious? Whitney is a young d-man with his better years still ahead, allready capable of leading a power plsy, who can only get better defensively. If anything, Pittsburgh would get robbed with a one vs one trade for Kovalev.

Eklund is a bit of a comedy figure... it's hard to hate him for that. He throws ideas at us that make sense at times and are completely off the wall at other times. Take him for what he is.... entertainment.

As for allowing his comments to be posted on this board, all I can say that he sticks to hockey and logical comments more than many of the posters who are constantly disparaging him.
