Time to try a rational thought:

THis is what they needed. An ugly win. A win to get that damn losing streak out of the way.

They need to build on this win, and piece by piece, item by item, bring the team back to where it should be.

They hit rock bottom and Im sure as hell they dont ever want to have that feeling again.

Before the merge, we had a pretty good PGT duel going on

The sad thing I wasn't even relieved that we won and got the points..I was relieved that we won that for Halak.

I shudder to think what that game would've looked like had Halak not played out of his mind tonight. Might've kept up the pattern from the last three games.

Halak was the only bright part of that win, Gainey really needs to step up still and Carbo needs to go to a coaching clinic to form some sort of system to play.

On another note Gainey goes against his team policy of not negotiating contracts during the season and signs Dandenault to a long term deal so not to lose him as a UFA.

So....that's exactly what I meant when I said that a goalie had to steal one. At this point, it's not how, it's the score that counts. But we need to obviously play better 'cause we'll be destroyed. Let's hope it gives a little of that confidence back.

what controversy ? every teams puts the goaltender who gives his team the better probability to win a game. right now, price is mediocre. halak did well tonight. there's no need to go back to price right now. if halak continues to play well in the long term and give us better performances than price, he'll stay in montreal. it's as simple as that.

Halak was incredible.

Dandy was good.

AK46 scored a beautiful goal.

Other than that? Horrible. The last two periods were two of the worst periods of hockey I have ever seen. Complete domination by Colorado.

What the crap type of trap system is Carbo using? Trap the other team inside your blue line?

Please Carbonneau stop wasting talent and making guys lose their confidence

Pacioretty Koivu Andrei

please just do it, the line will work!!

The guys line couldn't get out of the zone all game, he had one chance to score and he did, put him on a line with potential!

That was probably the ugliest win I have seen in the last 5 years.

En vrac

-Halak was amazing. He's our number one from now on.

-Markov was putrid. Lazy and uninterested.

-Kostopoulos and Dandy were our best forwards by far..which is very sad.

-Overall we still looked like a last place team. Just got more lucky than in the last games.

We need some more offence.... Last game, Dandenault and Bouillon scored. Today, Brisebois, Bouillon and Dandenault set the goal for Akost.....

True that. What an embarrassement it would have been to lose the game after Halak puts out that type of performance.

What a steal!! Halak deserves the 3 stars!!

God this team is aweful.. Carbo has a ton of work in front of him.. At least Chipchura should play Sunday, will stabilize the fourth line..

He needs to start from scratch, teach this team what is hockey, they seem to have forgotten.

And hire a ****ing defensive coach, NOW! The defensive woes are not from recent time, since the beginning of the season, our defense was weak, now our goalies struggle and everything blows to pieces.

I didn't many players using his system, or any for that matter tonight. Starting with the Kost bros.
