I say play Turco tonight, recall Tobias, and play Stephan against the Jackets.

Also, Avery makes his AHL debut today as well.

Didn't realize this but despite Chicago being 14-4-5 at home this season, they're 0-2-1 in their last 3.

Expect Huet to start tonight for the Hawks. Knabby still nursing some sort of injured I believe (and according to their newspaper).

Would be surprised if Krahn for the Stars. Points are too valuable right now.

Both teams played last night so they should be level on tiredness level.

Chicago is 6-3-0 in the 2nd half of back-to-backs this season.

Krahn should start but I won't hold my breath. Just like Fistric should be in the lineup over Sydor. But that's as likely as growing wings.

Huet played last night for the 'Hawks, so that might mean two goalies playing on back to back nights.

Tippett said Turco will start but nothing on Fistric. Heika thinks he will be in.

Rumor has it Kabi is sick which is why Huet played last night and might well play again tonight. Guess it will depend on how he's recovering but that might not be decided till the warm-ups.

I thought I saw somewhere it was a groin thing. I can't find it now though.

What's the record for most games played in a season by a goalie? Because if we keep going like this Turco will be playing 79 of em.

In hockey history, it's 500+

In modern-day hockey, it's ~44 games by Brodeur.

Um......no?

I think Fuhr holds the modern record at 79.

No one's ever going to touch Glenn Hall's 500+ consecutive games though.

A goalie played 500+ games in one season? Wow! That's one damn long season. [/sarcasm]

The OP asked what the record for most games by a goalie in one season, and Modo is correct that it is Grant Fuhr with 79. If, indeed, Turco is on pace for 79 games, that would tie him with Fuhr. Let us hope he doesn't get there.

Glen Hall holds the record for 502 consecutive complete games played for a goalie, but he also played when the season was 70 games rather than the current 82.

Isn't a bit too many games to play? I'd be worried comes playoff times.
In case you wonder it's a lower body injury that is bothering Bulin. Most likely his groin. Cheers!

I was talking about 1990's-present. I guess I should have clarified "modern" hockey.

Tonight is a big test. One of the best teams in the league that's also a potential playoff opponent. Chicago's home record is pretty formidable. Stars have kind of sucked there even when the Blackhawks weren't good... so let's hope they come out of the gates with energy.

According to the Game Roster on NHL.com, Andrew Hutchinson is scratched and Mark Fistric is in. Could they put Grossman and Niskanen together and let Fistric go with Sydor? Last game, I noticed, and Piqued pointed it out, Grossman and Niskanen were getting shifts together.

Option 1:
Grossman-Robidas
Sydor-Niskanen
Fistric-Daley

Option 2:
Daley-Robidas
Grossman-Niskanen
Sydor-Fistric

Option 2, Please!!!
