We really are brainsharing way too much recently.

Sharp is out for a while. He's not making the Hawks' next road trip.

Sucks about Sharp. I've always liked him as a player and I hope he's ok.

I think last nights play was mostly on the forwards. Zero tenacity on the forecheck and horrible back checking. The defense didn't play great but the spend a lot of time cleaning up out-manned breaks and blown assignments by the forwards in the defensive zone.

Our forwards almost to a man were pretty terrible last night. Neal showed flashes and I loved his play on the Brunnstrom goal. I though Sutherby was good and deserves a constant on that left wing spot with Richards and Loui.

According to Heika, Tippett really shuffled everything (forwards-defense) in a short practice yesterday. The team could look pretty different tonight I guess.

Also, Lehtinen and Ott may be playing injured.

Not surprising for me anyway. It seemed like the team was getting too confortable and weren't producing.

Just saw this on Razor's blog about Sunday’s practice:

Quote:
Brad Richards was about the only big minute player who was "expected" to take part in the on-ice activities today. (I don't think the coaches were too thrilled with his effort in Chicago but he wasn't alone)

Disappointing.
How does Ribeiro escape blame? He didn't get benched and no one has said much about him in the media? Richards was on the ice for 1 goal against. Ribeiro was on the ice for 3 freaking goals against including the worst of the game. He and everyone else on the ice did nothing to help Krahn after he made 2 or 3 quick saves.

The only goal Richards was on the ice for was that ridiculous Modano turnover when Modano, Richards, and Eriksson were flying into Chicago's zone on an odd man rush.

I love Ribeiro, but he was obviously worse than Richards. It's not even close who was more pathetic on Saturday. Yet that person continued playing, and was one of the veterans that didn't have to practice. How does that make any sense?

Plus can anyone remember Ribeiro doing something in that game in the offensive zone? I honestly can’t, and I’ve been trying. Richards hit the crossbar once, and was involved in a few odd man rushes. In there 1 PP (total BS), Richards got some shots through from the point as well.

If Richards play was bad, and it was, Ribeiro was flat out terrible and deserved at least some form of punishment. Instead, Richards gets the ultimate slap in the face, benched, and Ribeiro gets to aimlessly skate around.

EDIT: Richards 63% on Faceoff vs. Ribeiro's 43% on Faceoff

To be fair, Ribeiro did play significantly less time in the 1st and 2nd, but this still just doesn't make any sense. Ribeiro was down right atrocious especially compared to Richards in that game.

How much you want to bet you see your least favorite line?

Modano-Richards-Eriksson

With Brunnstrom healthy and Neal back in the NHL, I agree that is stupid line. Last time, they had Modano with AHL players on his wing though.

All 3 centers failed to show up.

If one doesn't show up, the Stars are still going to win.

If two don't show up, it's going to be a struggle.

If three don't show up, avert thy eyes.

(And I thought Richards was worse than Ribeiro)

I swear if I see Modano on the wing tonight, Tippet should be the next coach fired. Unbelievably dumb the 42nd time they try to make it work.
