Yeah that was pretty good. Not much "news", but it's still fun to read about the Blues' prospects.
It was, however, nice to read the accolades on Cole and it's also a good thing to keep our hopes tempered regarding Junland. He's got the skills, but needs to toughen up a lot or he's gonna get plastered again and again. He may be one of those d-men that need a few years of North American seasoning. Question is...can he last that long?
Nothing new. But it's nice to hear, "officially" that management is confident that Eller is really healed already, and his strength training around the injury will be completed by the time rookie camp starts. They didn't specify rookie camp as opposed to regular camp, but I assume that's what they meant.
By all accounts Eller has what it takes to play and produce in the NHL. His skating and skill set are above average and he would give the Blues three talented scoring lines. If his shoulder is ready he will play on one of the first three lines. This could really be a fun year, I'm hoping Zubov is signed. With the players added from the draft the Blues are in the best shape that I can ever remember.
