It's funny that you make this thread after two consecutive blowouts in which Pitkanen was a combined +1.

Prospect/pick.

Cullen would be a great fit for Montreal. He would fill Lang's void and also provide an option for the point on the powerplay.

Its funny how your oblivious to the problems the player has caused within this organization.

that's what I was thinking...

But I wonder what a "very good prospect" means 'cause Pacioretty, Weber, P.K Subban and McDaunagh are untouchable at this moment.

Is this your lame "Staal doesn't play hard because he misses his roommate Erik Cole" theory again?

A 2nd rounder would probably do in place of a prospect.

its funny how you can hate a young franchise player, for being a little streaky, if anything carolina should add an expienced winger to help him or another centre to take the pressure off. they should build around him not trade him away

How physical is Filppula (if at all)? Ruutu is our most physical forward and we really can't afford to get any softer.

would work if you were low in standing. Late 1st round isn't good enough for Gleason.... Rangers would have to throw 1st and maybe 3rd to make this to work.

Cullen, 3rd round pick. He needs to come back to Minnesota

He's not aggressively physical (ie he doesn't run people) but in the flow of the game he doesn't shy away from contact. Good along the boards, can muscle guys off the puck, and is more than willing to take a big hit to make a play but he always pops right back up.

Others have mentioned a lack of work ethic on the Canes, and drive defines Filppula. His motor never quits which is why he's one of Babcock's favorites. Incredibly unlikely he gets moved, but he's one of the few movable contracts if Kenny is serious about keeping Hossa, Franzen, and co.

Just some food for thought, but has anyone considered that maybe nobody on this team likes Paul Maurice as a coach and they're tuning him out already? That's the impression that I get when I watch the 'Canes anyways. Maurice already had his run there and it certainly seems that nobody respects him. Maybe it's time to elevate Ronnie Franchise to the head coach position to see what he can do to get everyone back on the same page. I think he might also be the guy who can get Staal back on track as well. You just don't go from being a 100 point scorer to a shell of your former self in two seasons......

The thing is with trading Gleason is who do you replace him with? The only prospect we have that I am sold on becoming a Top 4 defenseman is McBain.

Rebuilding by trading your best young players = stupid. The only way I would trade Gleason is if another young Top 4 defenseman is coming back. If it's Edmonton (as mentioned earlier), then either Gilbert or Grebeshkov (preferably Grebs).

how about Dawes/Voros + 1st

Rangers D are not good enough for the system Renney plays, Gleason is what we need, a d man solid in his own end who has a mean streak.

EDIT: Corey Potter (first D call up, NHL ready), Dawes, 1st for Sutter and Gleason

How does Patrick Eaves have only two goals and seven points?

How is he a plus 7 with those numbers?

I'd gamble a 4th-round pick on him to see if he re-discovers some of his offence, if not, I've got an expensive 4th-liner for two years and then let him walk as a UFA.....

What would you do if Parise gave no effort night in and night out?
