Why can not someone claim Tripp? I am hoping he was also waived with Sim, and no one is picking him up...

Why, on a team with so many injuied, do you send down someone with 13 points in 48 games?

Norton went to the Caps too.

Looks like getting rid of Sim and Norton may be setting us up for another deal of some sort.

So what kind of player is Norton? From looking at his careers stats he looks like a utility D guy.

Number. Sheer numbers. The Kings had 24 players on thier roster yesterday, if you include Dempsey. That can be taken care of by sending Grebeshkov, Zizka, or Gleason down. My guess would be Grebeshkov, just because he has only played two games in L.A...

Now, add to that Straka is may come off IR today. Straka would go on the Frolov and Stumpel line. To make room, I would guess Cammalleri would be sent down. I do not like him on the 3rd or 4th lines. He does not produce down there.

So if Brown comes back, who gets sent down that does not have to clear waivers? Not too many options there. The Avery, Belanger, Laperriere line and the Armstrong, Robitaille, Klatt line are set. So, where do you put Brown? If the Kings are not going to send him back to Guelph, the only option is the line where Sim, Tripp, Chartrand, Brennan, and Pirnes line up.. Maybe Tripp and Sim were waived, but only Sim was claimed. I guess we will find out.

Well, since Norton is a Cap.. I guess the Kings management is very happy with what they have seen with Zizka and Grebehkov.

I guess we shall see if Holland comes off IR today..

Mostly an enforcer. We were using him on D due to injuries.

hopefully this pickup isn't a sign of the caps dumping Witt (from a caps fans perspective, heh). We would have an AHL defense in that case, heh.

NOT SIM!

That sucks! Sim worked hard on every shift. I was wondering why he had been a healthy scratch for the past 3 or 4 games. Whenever the Kings looked dead on the ice, Sim's line would spark things up and they'd score. ugh, I don't get it. Good luck to Sim in Pittsburgh. I'm sorry to see him go.

Good luck to Norton as well ... great guy, hopefully he'll do better in Washington.

you already do. Witt has been awful this season. The only return on him will be from his reputation. He is best as a #5 or 6 d-man, not #1 or 2 like he has been this year.

Agreement here. He did the most with what he was offered. His hard work has helped to put the team in the position to contend, now he's with the worst team in the league. At least these guys are coveted. passing through wavers without a monster contract must be devastating.

wrong MOVE

I still can't believe Sim is gone and Tripp is here????? !!!!!!!!!WHY?????

Tripp does little more than steal air from his teammates and screw up the timing on our offense.

-disappointed with this roster move
-what was the salary difference between Tripp and Sim?

I'd still take Rosa over either of them

Well, I would hope they did waive Tripp with Sim, and no one claimed Tripp. Now Tripp can go to Macnchester. I do not see that though.

There is no salary difference between Tripp and Sim. They each make $450K.

The only reason I can figure we got rid of Sim over Tripp would have to be size. Either that or someone got confused and we accidently tried to send the wrong guy to the minors. I mean, they both have an "i" as the middle letter of their respective names, right?

Probably, the same they see in Modry, and Chartrand, and the last few years with CJ.................i'm just as stumped as everyone on this one. Why not send Tripp and Chartrand down. A lot of fans here didn't like Norton, but it's obvious that he's worth it. Same for Sim. He was a little ball of energy out there. I'm bummed more on the fact that we had to lose the both of them via waivers.
