Onlything you need to worry about is when ST. Louis has a power play because its the only time the Rangers actually look good and create scoring chances.

You can watch Wade Redden constantly give you guys odd man rushes when he pinches in the wrong situation.

You can watch Scott Gomez turn the puck over in the neutral zone every time hes on the ice.

You can watch Chris Drury... wait was he even on the ice the past few games?

You can watch Aaron Voros try to stay on his skates.

You can watch Petr Prucha in his most famous position, Right bench.

That about sums up the Rangers.

I have absolutely no confidence in them to do that (for the record, the last bit of faith I had in this team skated away as fast as Mike Richards right through our stationary point men to score a 3 on 5 goal) but I can't bring myself to root against them, even if it will help along the changes I want. Even if it will get us nowhere, I really, really want this team to prove me wrong, but I feel like most of us care more than the team unfortunately.
i was honestly speechless after that goal. they didnt even bother moving until he was in the neutal zone.

Hell, it's not like Gomez and Drury weren't contributing last year.

Get your games back, please!!!!!

Against the West, a shootout win is acceptable.

Play with some ****ing desperation.

I hate the Shootout.
It's a crutch in which bad teams stand on.

As many around here, I'm very confused today. I don't even know if I prefer a win or another loss as to shake things up that'll lead to major changes. Very confused. But anyway, LGR, no matter the outcome.

I hate the shootout (and regular season overtime), too.

I just keep hoping they can start playing better and if that means winning a shootout, sobeit.

AFTERNOON UPDATE:

Nothing major: Rangers had an optional skate this morning in St. Louis, did not call up a defenseman to replace injured Paul Mara (right shoulder). No update on Mara’s condition.

So Kalinin goes in as the Rangers have only six defensemen; nobody called up from Hartford, but I’m guessing that will change by practice time tomorrow. Sounds like Prucha gets another shot tonight and Voros sits again. Lundqvist in goal.

No, it doesn't mean winning in a shootout.
They've one 9 of them already and not one has made the team any better.
Actually, it's made them worse because now they've come to rely on the shooutout using their signature "play not to lose" system.
What's funny is that they haven't even been good in the shootouts lately... and now they're being exposed as the team they really are.

I.ve allready had 25 hours (and counting). I've only talked to strangers since that show on NBC (i'm serious).

LGR

2-0 Dawes, Redden (The whole prediction is as likely part-wise as completely)

If we make the playoffs the Facepalm should be the official Playoff theme

I hear you. In the end, I'm hoping for a well played game with a reg-time win. Those blow-outs might lead to a sea change in coaching, or GM, but I'm guessing the front office ain't gonna do nuthin'. So, maybe we can at least have a decent showing every other game (in between embarrassments.)

BTW - what is the point of Chris Drury going to the front of the net in the O end? He's not big enough, tough enough etc. He goes there and instantly falls to his knees.

LGR

What major changes are you thinking about? What major changes are really possible? I don't consider the seemingly easy move of firing Renney as being a major change.

I don't know what this team's about. I just can't figure it out. We have multiple faces.

As Dave Maloney always says, we need to find our identity and quick!

I better see a ****ing effort tonight worthy of winning an NHL game.

And its Renney's job to demand that out of his team tonight for an entire game.

Maybe Colton Orr and Cam Jansenns will get re-aquainted tonight? These two had quite a rivalry going ove rthe past few seasons. I think they brawled 3 or 4 times already.

Gotta wonder if JD would ever come back to NY in the form of General Manager? His team is still at the bottom of the div I believe, but no question, they Blues are stacked with some of the better prospects overall in the league right now. Should translate into a solid hockey club for years to come in the near future.
