Winning a cup 13 years ago doesn't make up for the patheticness (word?) that we see today.
And Art Ross, Hart, and the Conn Smyth Trophies aren't team awards. They're individual awatds.
They were still won by players in our organization. You can add president's trophy to the list as well.
Usually the bad, pathetic teams are the ones who get the first overalls. Chicago has been pathetic for how many years now? What makes a team like them or even the rangers or caps(who couldn't win even with money) less pathetic?
So is there anything else that makes us a pathetic organization other than the fact that the penguins are a bad team?
Will the Leafs be a pathetic organization after they fail to win the cup again and eventually lose their window and have all their old players retire?
It would be an awful shame to have Ovechkin play for such a pathetic organization.
Pathetic organization? I would much rather see the next great talent play for Pittsburgh than Bill Wirtz' Blackhawks, no offense to the remaining fans of that team. And funny, I don't think you'd be criticizing a Canadian organization for being unable to build a new arena if they needed one and couldn't get funding from any level of government.
