The big deal is that some posters still feel the need to come out and say Pittsburgh is a pathetic organization.
Great for them.
The kids will learn to stop trying to look smart and rather try to discuss hockey.

Yes, Ron Francis, how did he do again? Everyone knows star Pittsburghers suck after they leave Pitt. It's a syndrome.

And oh yeah, check our message board: 2nd/3rd most posts of the American teams. Only problem is that Pittsburgh has a small population of steel workers and other blue collar workers. They jsut don't have the money of other white collar large population cities.

Pens ratings are also somewhere around tops in the league.

We don't support our team. Peh. Got another enlightening comment for me? A hot tip? Stocks? Horoscope? Lottery numbers? Seabiscuit in the third; win, place, or show?

Awful post.
You think the Pens fans don't support their team?
Come to the Pens board.
And you take pride into the fact that your UFA signings are contributing to the dismantling of this league?
Disgusting attitude.

What a dumb comment by "SYC". Why are a lot of hockey fans too stupid to notice that there will be no NHL without a new CBA, where salaries are controlled. That means that all teams will be on even ground. The Pens will be able to sign players just like the Leafs and everyone else.

The Penguins don't also have a population of 4 million plus, and don't forget, here in Canada, hockey is pratically a religion.........

And after hockey starts up again, likely after a long layoff, guys like Francis, Leetch, Roberts, Domi, Niewendyk, etc. will all be close to retired. (and some will be retired)

Be a man, and give credit where its due.

Didn't the Flyers lose to the Pens earlier in the year? Yes they did.

Yeah so what, they're a division team, anyone who knows sports knows that division team always have the best and most hard fought battles. The differenc eis we never underestimate them. Hitch has always given them props.

And Flyer fans never go on a binge and say that we are the best team in the league, and that we will win the cup like the numerous other "Toronto Maple Leafs are the Almighty" threads.

Whatever, if you're such a Leaf Defender maybe Quinn should put you in nets on 3/18 seeing how Belfour will likely be lit up by us yet again. Perhaps you can allow less than 6 goals........OWNED!

Owned? You are the one who just tried to defend you teams loss to the Pens with 'they're a division rival'. I guess you forgot about that game when you were posting 'HAHA' and ' '.

Don't you feel stupid?

Dear Pittsburgh Penguins,

Please keep it up. Eight point gap, and shrinking.

With Love,

-Washington Caps

What a tool you are, i watch every game, i know perfectly well we had lost against them, but i could care less. And division rivalry is BIG. It's the reason Toronto always gets smoked against Buffalo.

I get it. It's okay for you to lose to the Pens, because they are in your division but if we do it, it's means we are no longer contenders. That makes sense. Thank you.

With all due respect, the Flyers are the Penguins rivals and we always play very, very good against them.

Disgusting attitude? I'm sure you Pens fans weren't complaining when you were snapping up the likes of Paul Coffey, Ron Francis, Ulf Samuelsson and Tom Barrasso from teams that couldn't afford them.

Also, supporting your team means going out to the games. 11,000 attendance isn't something to be bragging about.

So a Philly loss to Pittsburgh can be attributed to the fact that Philly goes easy on its Pennsylvania rival, while a Toronto loss means the end of the world?

No, it means Pittsburgh, who gives 110% every game, is giving the game 120%.

1/ Signing UFAs at high prices and bragging about it are two different things.
That your team spends some money, I personnally don't care.
When some fan says oh well we're going to sign your guys when you can't afford them is something else.
That is what is disgusting.
Go it or you want a drawing?

2/ Actually it's pretty good for the last team in the NHL. The team is filled with no-names and youngsters. They still pick up 11,000 people each game.
That's pretty good.

Also when arguing about the support the Pen's have in Pgh, you need to look at all the facts.

The Pens have the 4th highest TV ratings in the NHL this season, even during the 18 game losing streak.

They have consistently been in the top 5 for over a decade.

Pens also used to only have 6,000 people in the stands Pre-Mario, yet they still survived.

11,000 people at each game, when the team has lost 14 home games in a row, speaks volumes about the support the Pens have in Pgh.

Dude, as Pens fans we have seriously no room to go off bashing other orginizations. Show some respect for other teams and maybe we wont have to go off defending our team on this board every other night.
