The problem is we have been saying that since the offseason, but Leaf fans just don't listen. I wish I had a penny for every Kaberle proposal on this board since then. Every single proposal is usually a slight to massive overpayment by the Flyers, usually includes an "untouchable" like Carter (those are for the most part gone, but were horrible this summer), JVR (not gonna happen), and Giroux (really not gonna happen).

So most of us have gone through hundreds of these proposals on the main board and such, and yesterday, homeboy comes into here and makes this offer for Giroux + yada yada for Kaberle. Right after Giroux's best game in a Flyers uniform, and after he has looked like he can be a potential PPG + player for the Flyers for the next 6 or so years, all for a player that doesn't fill our biggest need. Yea....thats why you get the reaction like this.

Not much at all. Hes playing decent for the phantoms(36 points in 55 games) but I doubt he would get much return, not a roster player anyway. Its not like he was a high pick and a big prospect when he was drafted.

Then again, Kaberle was an 8th rounder. I was just wondering because I hadn't read too much.

Maroon is definitely one to keep an eye on at least, he seems to be making a nice adjustment to the pros.

Hmmm, I like this one. This is just as reasonable as any of their Kabs to Philly proposals.

That works if you are not trying to win this year and Toronto was, unfortunately the situation is the opposite

Defensively, Timonen is light years above Kaberle.

Anytime I see TOR/PHI trade I know it includes JVR and a pick and a player for Kaberle. I have one thing to say to whoever posted it: get out.

Lol, I know, I really wouldn't do it right now because whether or not the Leafs fans want to admit it or not, Kimmo is better than Kaberle.

My comment was based on the fact that TO doesn't need this trade and that it was overpayment from their perspective. My point was that Kimmon isn't worth Kabs, Schenn and a 1st in 09. However, if the Leafs fans think that Kabs is worth JVR, Giroux AND an 09 1st (actually DEMANDED return by some Leafs fans on their board) then Kimmo is CERTAINLY worth at least that much.

Exactly. He's overpaid for a team with cap space, let alone the Flyers.
