Depending on how this month goes....we MIGHT lock up the 8th seed at the very end. But would any of you really want to play Detroit (a team that has manhandled us since the franchise was started) when we're battered up and broken and a Backstrom who will probably be fatigued? Frankly I wouldn't want to get embarrassed in the 1st round the way they probably would.

I wouldn't complain. The playoffs are still great to watch. I'd rather be manhandled by Detroit than lose to Colorado or Anaheim as this team has done in the past two years.

I can't dog the Ducks cause didn't they win the Cup that year?? Colorado was simply because they were too damn fatigued and injuries were starting to add up. Gaborik was definitely playing when he shouldn't have been. Just think, if it wasn't for Koivu during that series, we probably would of gotten swept.

Yup. I really have no words for this...it's like, ever since that comeback win against the Sharks, this team thinks that they can half-ass it for the first half of the game, and still win.

3-1 now.

It doesn't matter. This game is still over.

Not only game over, but season potentially over.

End of the 2nd.
Haha, a comeback would require some offense. Someone just put it in the net!!

We have ONE 20-goal scorer. ONE. Detroit has 5, Philly has 6.

It's so pathetic. I really have my doubts as to whether this team can win another game this season.

I feel bad for Backstrom

...and it's OWEN NOLAN. An old man is Minnesota's only 20 goal scorer! It's ridiculous.

I'm getting pretty sick of Lemaire's coaching style, to be honest.

Veilleux scores. Win or lose, please make this a close finish, at the very least.

Nope. The 487456328972348527th stupid penalty of the game leaves us with just over 6 minutes of ES time, and another powerplay, on which the Blues have made our PK look pathetic tonight.

EDIT: Wow. Within one goal...

I would be shocked and annoyed if he were coaching for us next year.

I love how...I forget who it was...was praising the Wild for their first period efforts at the beginning of the game, yet we stunk it up in the first majorly.

Yup.

It's really sad that we could have jumped up to 7th with a win, but instead dropped down to 12th...

In addition to that, we lost another season series to a team that has no business being a playoff contender. Add the Blues to the Avalanche and Kings.

Actually we are in 11th, if that makes you feel better.

Nashville vs LA tonight.

A win for Nashville would put them in the 7th playoff spot, and we would be 2 points out of the playoffs.

A win for LA would put them two points behind us.
