You thought a name which can be taken as a homophobic slur was our teams nickname? Now personally I am fine with kiddie nicknames but in my mind "Flamers" is just wrong.

Yeah - because no one has ever referred to the Canucks before as the "nuckers."

I prefer Cannots as it is more accurate.

I apologize if I came off like a ******, nothing wrong with some pre-game ribbing. I just absolutely hate the whole inferiority complex argument, that's all. Other than that, I'm very much relaxed (at least until puck drop, anyway lol).

I agree with this. Really I just love pre-game ribbing it is part of sport in my opinion. As long as it doesn't go too far.

If you're unfamiliar with someone's posting tendencies, then yes, it can be hard to understand when someone is trying to be sarcastic on a web forum.

Either way, my bad!

Wow, this is awesome. The GDT is three pages long and the puck isn't even close to being dropped yet. I love rivalries

This is a big game. A lot at stake and they are a very different team to the four previous games. A win puts us 11 points ahead while a loss closes the gap to just 7.

Lets take it to them

GO FLAMES GO!!!

True. Though to be fair maybe I didn't want people to think I was being sarcastic. More fun that way.

That's about as funny as the "Calgary Fails" or the "Edmonton Whiner" or the "Toronto Laughs." Good job.

Nystrom - Boyd - Roy

Regehr - Aucoin
Sarich - Pardy

By the end of the game the first line was Bourque-Conroy-Iginla. Really who can say what Keenan is planning for tonight.

Projected Line-ups
Bertuzzi-Langkow-Iginla
Cammalleri-Lombardi-Bourque
Moss-Conroy-Glencross
Boyd-Nystom-Prust
Extra: Roy

Defence Pairings:
Regehr-Aucoin
Giordano-Sarich
Pardy-Phaneuf
Extra:

These are the lines from last game, or at least how they started. With Keenan you can only count on those players being in the game, who knows what the lines will actually look like by the end of the game. You can count on Mikka being in net though. Also word from Rob Kerr is that Prust and Vandermeer may be ready so expect even more to change with this.

I hate to be a jerk....but the avatar pick you have, is Regher not wearing an Avs jersey? Kind of odd to be putting up a photo of the guy not in a Flames jersey - if you are a Flames fan.
