Penguins working phones...

Also from source...."I was told that Penguins are working feverishly on a deal that would in affect 'change the team dynamics drastically.' I was also told if this deal happens it happens in 24 hours.."

The only reason I post this is because Malkin is featured as the image on the main page. If they trade Malkin, Shero is a retard. But this is Eklund so I don't believe it..

There's another thread where it says Shero's not doing anything big.

Watch it be a deal for a 3rd string goaltender in exchange for a pick in 2013 and tim wallace.

Kinda like when Brian Murray said they wouldn't 'blow up' the Sens makeup and then they fired the coach

I could see Malkin being moved, for sure. They need to make room because they are paying Malkin and Sid 8.7 per, Staal 4, Fleury 5 and a few Defencemen 4+. They have almost 60 percent locked up between those players.

Yes, move the leagues leading scorer who just got signed to a long term deal, smart move!

I could see Ovechkin being moved seeing how well Green and Backstrom are doing this year, and how much they will be paid.

Eklund is a tool.

Anyone could have told you Pittsburgh is looking at something to shake the team up, besides the firing of Therrien. Pittsburgh doesn't want to follow the trend of being a Stanley cup Finalists to missing the playoffs.

Its been about a year now, but there have been strong rumors about Ovechkin being traded to Montreal, NYR, and maybe Toronto. Something about not wanting to play in Washington.

I wonder if these are the same sources that told hi they were dealing Fleury for Lalime which the team called BS on the next day's paper, or the same source that told him Recchi was never going to be back wtih the Pens after being dealt to Carolina...

You mean IF as in, "This deal would have gone down IF you had only paid me $20?"

You act as if hockeybuzz is a two bit operation that would die if HF stopped posting his stuff. In fact, HF's total traffic isn't higher than his by much. Now, I don't like him, but to suggest that us not posting his rumors on HF is going to make a huge difference is pretty dumb.

I cannot believe Eklund is still considered a credible source on HF.

Anyone with basic knowledge of how the NHL works can merely look at what he writes and come away with the conclusion that its bull.

Not only that, he's a terrible journalist as well. Awful spelling, grammar... the guy is a hack, plain and simple.

He makes his money catering to the 15-and-under crowd. He has solid business acumen, I'll give him that... but in no way, shape or form should he be considered credible.

If life was fair he and that "NHL KING" would suffer a urinary tract infection each and every time they made something up or came up with an unrealistic proposal.

Why does Eklund have his own prefix again?

I really wish people from this site stopped going to that one.

I still find it hilarious that Eklund is considered source material. He may have the odd source thanks to his joke troupe but time and time again it is proven that he makes the majority of his stuff up. How that is considered credible is beyond me.

Get this: Brian Burke is working the phones looking to make trades.

Breaking news, Bob Gainey is probably going to try and replace Lang at some point with another trade.

And yet, Kukla is not considered legitimate, I really just don't get that.

Of course Ray Shero is on the phones. His team sucks because they have too much salary tied up in 4-5 players and the team depth isn't there to win long-term.
