Rangers will finish no better than #5 and no worse than #10. Everyone below Pittsburgh is in the crapper. I do think that the Rangers will be fighting for their lives come late March/April. It won't be as fun as the last couple of years.

This team is first round and out regardless of where they land. Unless Lundqvist stands on his head, which is possible.

But thinking about facing Boston, New Jersey, Washington, or Philadelphia in the first round leaves little hope when you consider the puck possession game those teams play and how weak our defense is in its own zone.

I love how people come here and say Boston is a good matchup for us. Or New Jersey. Or Washington. Yeah, right.

After last Sunday, I certainly wouldn't want to play the Flyers either.

Correct. Why wouldn't that be a success? For the team that plays young small inexperienced forwards and no-name defensemen what else?

I wouldnt discount Ottawa if I were you. They still have some amazing talent on that team. And arent too far behind the pack in terms of winning %

When I was younger, I played a computer game called Roller Coaster Tycoon where you ran your own amusement park. I was building a custom roller coaster that had like 5 loops then went straight up at full speed where the track would end suddenly and all the cars filled with people would fly off and eventually smash into the ground and explode. My theme park would get shut down because too many people died. Needless to say, I feel like I'm on that coaster, and the coaster is named "New York Rangers".

Roller coaster?
We've been consistently going down for a while now.
More like a jet with engine failure.

If they show the lack of heart like they have done against buffalo, filthadelphia, dallas and numerous others, i don't want to associate them with the great state of New York or the most amazing city going today. They should just be the rangers.

well if we are going to talk about well played...I think this one takes it.

Seriously, bench these two schmucks and let some younger, less paid, kids with more heart play. Maybe this will shake their ***** up.

Is it sad that this has brought back so many good memories of playing Roller Coaster Tycoon that I would rather play that then watch the Rangers?

The trick was to charge 10 cents for the bathroom...

Yeah, too bad we don't have elite goaltending like Ottawa.
