The official "We want you back Alex"

You've been warned, you will turn your season around and you will do so in the Habs uniform, plays like it's 2007-2008 again!

If we had last years Alexei it would be magical.

Akost-Plek-Kovy playing at last years talent would be a real good help right now.

I support him 110%.

Sure he doesnt score, but he's ****in fun to watch. Thats what its all about. He's unique, his hands are ****in amazing.

I think when he leaves the fans will finally realise how good a talent that guy was but it will be too late. We took him for granted, expected him to be a superstar because we didnt have any for the longest time.

I just wish we had appreciated him, and just marveled at his incredible talent and been proud of having a talent like him on our team instead of bashing him every chance we got on tv, on internet, everywhere.

I liked Kovalev, because unliked most other hockey players, he didnt play like a ****IN ROBOT. He had his own style, and thats what I like to see.

If he leaves, I will never forget him, that's for sure.

If we can get a good player for him in a trade, then he can go. Thanks for the memories Kovy. If we can't get more than a 3rd round pick for him and cannot trade for another good player with at the deadline, then I'd rather keep him.

I think that Kovalev loves Montreal so much that he will walk over his pride and comeback, i can't see him leave in this situation.

I'm a huge soccer fan, but I can not stand watching people 'play keep up'.

He can go, but if he were to come back and play like he can, which is the world's biggest if, I would still love him.

Thats what its about for me, maybe not for you. Maybe your idea of a fun game to watch is dumping the puck in 500 times, making passes that often times get into skates, battling in the boards looking like your busting your ass off only to lose the puck in the end.

Then you can say ohh at least he's working hard and you'll be happy with low level talent.

Alex,....you have incredible talent and at times you're art in action. However, I want players who go hard every game. I want players who respect the logo on the front of our historic uniform and who play with pride....not someone who floats and takes his paycheque and runs.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out Alexei. Thanks for the good memories. I won't forget the recent bad memories of you playing with zero passion, disinterested and poisoning the team.

Go Habs Go!!!!

I don't trust that Kovalev will try any harder once he gets his chance again. You can just see it on his face, he's just coasting out there hoping that a puck bounces right to him so he doesn't have to move much.

I want Alexei Kovalev back too, the 2008 version, the one that everybody loved. I want to see him right next to Gary Bettman, picking up his Conn Smythe, with Saku applauding before picking up the Stanley Cup, while thousands of habs believers like me, who never stopped believing, who stayed optimistic all through the storm, shout loud and clear "go habs go"!

Every cup, every year starts with a dream. And in my dream, there's Alex Kovalev at his best.
