The Islanders are ALWAYS at their best vs the Rangers. Doesnt matter who's in goal, behind the bench.

Is this the TURNAROUND game?

Lets Go Rangers

trust me i doubt that not 1 bit but if the RANGERS cant beat the worst team in the league the front of the jerseys should be blank so as not 2 tarnish the name

....but it's NOT going to get ugly in here. There's going to be ZERO tolerance for unnecessary "venting". Wanna throw a tantrum? Go kick your dog.

I know my personal favorite from an Isles perspective is: "It's a no lose situation. If we beat the Raggies, we beat the Raggies. Big Smile. If we lose, we're that much closer to Tavares. Just as a big of a smile."

The 'real benchmark game' leads me to believe that you've already thought about this as well. How are the Rangers viewing this game?

Is it a "Let down" game?

... or a "knew this was coming" game?

..... or a "we're supposed to win" game?

....... or a "this was an AHL team, we should have beaten them by 5, not by 2" game?

My personal take. It's the last one.

As an Isles fan, I could honestly care less who wins or loses. That's pretty sad. I get the sense that the Isles need Tavares more than the instant and short-lived gratification and conquest of beating you guys. Like that meaningless late season SO win for the Isles last year... you know... the one that cost the Isles one of the big 3 dmen in the '08 draft....

Regardless, good luck.

All of the negativity fades for me on game day (until the puck drops that is). Let's go Rangers!

Must win. Conventional wisdom would say that this could be a make or break game for a coach and possibly some of the players on the roster because of who the opponent is and their record. 4 straight losses heading into, yet another, must win in Buffalo just isn't going to fly.

Well considering it is the Rangers at home against the Islanders I am going to bet that the Blueshirts lose this one. 3-1 with an empty netter for the Islanders. I wonder what has to happen for a drastic change to occur.

I am going with not only a win...but a win in convincing fashion... so that tommorrow morning Carp, and the rest of the Blog nation comes out with the old "Where has this team been" titles to thier work. Outworking and outshooting the Isles by a wide margin, and Henrik playing stellar in net, while McDonald or Denis flounder in goal at the vocious onslaught of pucks.

Crash the net, win the battles, bully little brother in MSG and make them hang thier heads in shame that they even though themselves worthy enough to step inside the arena. Make them go home, and wonder what in God's name just hit us! Make them feel the pain...Make them cringe everytime a Ranger carries the puck into the zone. Make the Islander Nation wish thier team was already in Kansas City, so they wouldn't be subject to such abuse!

sold my tickets and i've never been happier as im sure i saved myself from possible jail time after what is sure to be another step towards complete and utter embarrasment. Honestly the only thing im hoping for out of this game is to watch that big puss fritz get his face re-arranged...again...Other than that expect another 3-1 loss.

2-0 Islanders

MacDonald looks like a stud stopping 40+ shots. The Rangers play like balls, and it turns into another one of those classic Rangers Islanders games of the post-lockout where it seems the Islanders know this is a rivalry, bring their top notch game and the Rangers have their heads in their *****.

Going to the game tonight, if they fall behind early it's definitely going to get ugly there. I already see a Richard Park shorthanded goal in the back of my mind.

I want to see something from this team,a little pride,a little effort,a little p!ss and vingear in their game.

I don't want to see flailing around on home ice against the Icelanders.I want to see checks finished,a relentless high pressure forecheck and I want to see some intelligent play in the defensive zone.

Above all, I want to see a Ranger win.

Lets go boys, Git R Done!
