Komisarek is actually the worst d-man on the roster.

But that just makes to much common sense ...

unfortunately it would not surprise me in the least to see him back for at least one more year.

I know people hate draft comparisons in retrospect...but Chipper vs. Green? It's a pk matchup i would imagine. I dunno, but Chipchura just doesn't seem to have any discernible identity (sposed to be shutdown right?). Opinions on how he's playing (yeah i don't expect him to save that Ovy goal, but if he is who he is sposed to be...)?

There is only so much goalies can do when the toher team outchances you 10:1 ratio (this goes for Halak too).
No doubt, the guy has an agenda against Price and it's pretty obvious. I love Price, just wish he could still us a game somewhere down this horrible, horrible slump.

Habs need to do a better job of clogging the neutral zone, once they get in our zone they win all the battles and their forecheck is killing us(like every team who forechecks against us).

We also need to be more aggressive on our own forecheck, if we are in their zone more then thats less of their forecheck we have to deal with.

Neither goal was Price's fault. Very strong period for him.

Happy with the effort from the boys so far tonight! Washington is deadly...

There was 1 or 2 plays from Schneider that were questionable, but he seems pretty good and he's brought good luck to the PP

Good first period, Higgins played great, defence is still shaky, Price keep the Habs in the game so far.

we sucked badly again in the first.. this team doesnt show signs of improvement.. our fowards dont support our D at all, Carbo has to come back at the base in practices, there is alot of work to do..

For a supposed defensive specialist, Chipchura looks lost out there, really desapointed so far..

Lose-Lose situation for Kovy here.
The players are responsible for their own play, so you can't blame Kovalev for their shortcomings. You can blame Kovalev for all the things you listed, though. None of that stuff is helping the team any.

There are seemingly two viewpoints on here regarding Kovalev: some posters absolve him of all blame, and others think that getting rid of him would make us a contender again by itself. As usual, the truth is somewhere in between.

Agreed. As good as Ovechkins goal was, Price's glove save was better
