Geez, a lot of drama surrounding this team lately. As if they didn't have enough to worry about before. The good thing though is that it is happening now and not two months from now.

A lot of different people talking now about the habs players off the ice. What a mess.

this makes no sense... first of all what is this ruefrontenac.com source... are you serious? sounds like a website a bunch a stoner journalists made in a basement or something. If the source's friend was also Kovalevs friend, why would he be selling him out like that? And if its just an aquaintance and not a friend, then Kovy would have told him to f off and not confide in him all the habs problems lol. As for Sergei, Gainey CLEARLY stated in his interview (audio is on habsinsideout) that he DID NOT give Sergei any timeframe for his return.... this story is a bunch of BS

Can you write a sentence and make your point without a four letter word? It make you look less mature than Sergei

You should know Gainey always trusts the French media and especially the ****tards at JDM to tell them what happened!

he is a young guy who can be arrogant

gainey spoke to him and he went down

if he refused after that then maybe i would flip out but sergei went.

the whole get him off our team and trade him is a little ridiculous.

we all loved him last year and this year he has 4 less points in as many games and he sucks.

and again this whole "refused" could be anything like posters mentioned above

#1 isn't that absurd, he still should have played better, but I would be pissed too if I was playing with guys who didn't take it seriously and went partying a lot. (He said that what went out in the media is only the "tip of the ice-berg" maybe he's Jean Perron's source ).

Sometimes i wonder if Carbo takes any decision in this club(except making new lines of course)?

He doesnt seem to talk to any player. I feel like the player goes directly to Gainey to have a conversation because Carbo is too busy making new lines.

I agree with you, but at the same time I dont think everything Gainey says is to be taken as 100% true. A lot of things go on behind closed doors that we dont know about, even though it is stated otherwise. Is a stretch to think that when Sergei freaked that he was being demoted that Bob said he would get a call back soon? I wouldn't trust words from any GM in all of sports. He says things to mostly please us.
But as for the sources, i've never heard of this guy so I have no clue.

...and this is exactly the problem in Montreal.

"He" said nothing. Kovalev has not uttered a word.

One journalist being the source for the other would explain a lot though, eh?

Indeed. I hope none of this is true because this will kill our playoff hopes. People just need to relax and play some hockey.

So Sergei=Grabovsky ?
Same kind of prima donna attitude from a player who has yet to prove he's NHL material.

Lol @ people starting to hate a young player for what someone ''heard''. No one knows Sergei personnally and can tell that he parties too much, doesn't care and has a terrible attitude. It's all speculations yet that's what it takes for people to overreact.

And as for refusing, if it's true it probably was something like ''no I want to stay on this team'', then Bob reassured him.

Habs Drama!

I think what they don't realize is that Sergei is the kind of player that doesn't play well when the only time you give him is on the 3rd or 4th line every second game. He does well when he has a bigger role. When he does well it's usually on the PP and top lines.
