In defense of the Buffalo board, it is really only that one guy saying that the Sabres outplayed the Flyers tonight. The rest of the posters there are telling him he's wrong. I know that there is a bit of a rivalry between our teams, but I have found their fans to be pretty awesome generally.

Dude has a .909 save percentage on the season and a .929 tonight.

Furthermore, if you take out his 1st 3 games of the season, where he started out cold and the team played like ass, he has a .916 save percentage for the season, similar to what he put up last year.

So again, congratulations on your decision to become mentally impaired.
I just can't believe so many people here faulted him for that first goal. When spacek jumped into the slot, the thought that went through my mind was: If Marty stops this one it'll be the save of the game.

OK it was probably a little shorter, more like "Oh ****", but it was a save-of-the-game level "Oh ****".

Yup I read a few pages of it earlier and it's just that one guy. He's trying to live up to his user name, I guess.

Good to see Cannon ok after taking that puck to what looked like the face. Also, Carle is looking very solid out there, moving the puck well, and doing a good job coming up off the blue line.

Hey, just cause I had to work doesn't mean I should miss out on the fun.

I spent most of the game trying to get some ladys pictures and songs onto her POS phone.

And spacek scores from the slot. Marty should have had that one.

Marty is moving the puck decently tonight, hasn't made any glaring mistakes yet.

Cobourn!

Richards had a really good shift out there... he's been all over the place tonight, should have another assist too, but gags got robbed early on.

Spacek again.

Nothing Biron could have done that time... defense needs to do a better job of getting the puck outta the zone.

And right back onto the PK.

Cannon! Shorty! Nice setup by Timonen there.

Carter is getting some chances to make things happen on the open ice out there. Definitely one of the most exciting players out there, even when he isn't seemingly scoring a goal every night.

Biron has to cover those ones up better. Letting goals like that slip through will cost the team in the long run.

Ok first off, richards is awesome! (we already knew this)

god i love this team though. THIS team can play and tonights game is proof.

Gags, richards and knuble line played great and had one shift that put on INSANE pressure and dominated the Sabres at one point.

It's crazy how good giroux is with the puck, every game he makes 2-3 passes that make me go . Got to give him props, not only for having the guts to make those types of passes, but also for having the skill to pull them off most of the time. I really like him and upshall together on the same line too.

biron had a good game, 3 goals on 42 shots is pretty darn good, especially when 2 of the 3 were scored while on the PK. Any, night your goalies save% is higher than .920%, he's doing his job and giving you a chance to win.

tonight was a good win, saturday is a HUGE game though. go flyers!

In all fairness, Biron did what he had to in the third to win.

That being said, the game should have been 4 or 5-1, not 6-3 with two ENs. He can't have a 20 min lapse like he did in the 2nd and expect to win every night. And that is especially true come playoff time.

Other than the first goal, he was very good. Spectacular at times. Especially the save in the 3rd to protect the lead.

the WHOLE team sucked in the second. The first goal he should have had, but no sabre player should have that open of a shot.
second goal, Defense has the clear the porch.
3rd goal was a nice shot that was a result of a horrible failed clear by (gasp) Richards

I was joking about the retardation thing, but it appears that it's actually true.

Most people here have obviously never played hockey, just because the goalie got a piece doesn't mean it was a bad goal.

I mean, if you're going to let Spacek shoot from 15 feet away, he's going to score 9 times out of 10, the key is avoiding those situations in the first place.

Then on the PK, why the hell is Stafford allowed to walk out in front unmolested and why is Derek Roy, the smallest player on the ice, allowed to whack the rebound in? Where were the defensemen? Not clearing the porch.

Not even mentioning the fact that Richie had a chance to clear on that sequence and didn't.

Dude has a .929 in that game, a .909 overall, and a .916 since the first 3 games of the season.

You want to know who doesn't have a .916?

Henrik Lundqvist
Roberto Luongo
Cam Ward
M.A. Fleury
Miikka Kiprusoff
Evgeni Nabokov
JS Giguere
Ilya Bryzgalov
Carey Price
Jose Theodore
Marty Turco
Dan Ellis

I'm on your side on this one, but Biron definitely was to blame on that one. Players are going to get stuff chances from the side when they are a man up. Biron's gotta gather that one

All BS aside, that was one helluva game to watch. Very entertaining. Richards...5 points? Really?

And gagne had a helluva game 2.

Maybe my ears were broken, but I thought I heard morganti say a rumor of Gagne for Koivu and Kovalev.

Please tell me my ears were broken...
