Roll Call for Buffalo 2/21

I know this is probably going to be a lopsided poll, but there are 4 or 5 of us making the trip from Long Island this weekend and we're just hoping to eat some good wings (Anchor Bar and Duffs) drink some good beer and hopefully watch some good Rangers hockey. Anybody else making the trip/live in the area and going to the game at the HSBC arena?

I'll be at the game; don't expect too much, though... the Rangers usually stink up the joint when play here.

The Rangers played great at HSBC last year. They were fun games to watch.

That was an anomaly, we're close to 25 games under .500 all-time in Buffalo if you include the playoffs.

Being as how I'm already in Buffalo for school I should probably go to this game. But I'm not shelling out $60+ for this team, not until they prove they can play with some god damned passion for more than 1 game against a rival.

TV will do for me.

Feel the same way now. I had the opportunity to pick up a few seats in Montreal on 3/17 for 160 a pop and drive up there for a few days. I turned them down. I aint shellin out cash right now for this team.

I understand that sentiment. We bought the tickets before this latest suck-fest and either way we're going to enjoy the city. I lived there for 5 years so I've seen the Rangers there before and usually they play pretty well. What school do you go to? I'll guess UB.

As for everyone else who is going, where are your seats? Maybe we'll wind up in a great big Ranger section... Or at the very least, we could grab a drink and complain about the team. ha ha.

You'll guess correctly.

Hope you guys end up being able to see the turnaround game for this team and that Islanders game wasn't a fluke. Because you know if this team surges like they usually do at the end of the year they'll be looking back at the Buffalo game the rest of the season (kind of like the shootout win over St. Louis either last year or 2 years ago I forget).

I'm awesome!!! ha ha.. I went to Canisius when I was up there. Trying to figure out what bars to go to afterwards. Can't decide between downtown or hit a few on Elmwood or Sheridan.

I'll be last row at the very top dead center of the end boards. Best seats in the house; screw that lower bowl crap. Cousin has seasons and I always go out for the 2 games.

Anchor Bar sucks. Do not go there. The wings, aren't even that good. There are much, much better places in Buffalo for wings, than the Anchor Bar.

I know this. Personally I like Duff's or even Caputi's on Sheridan but since it's the first time for most of the crew, I'm going to take them there for the "history" or whatever you want to call it.... Probably hit Duff's on Sunday for lunch.

We have to at least have a little bit better of a shot with Vanek out of the lineup. But any team coached by Lindsay Ruff is going to be a tough team to beat. Both teams have to be real hungry. Sabres, coming off the loss to Philly and the Rangers having won only two games since the all star break. I hope Korpikoski is back.

Duff's is really good. Screw history, just go for good food.

Probably don't want to go up there anyway now. Might run into the Kostitsyn gang

Anyway, the HD TV is good enough for me.
