Support for Habs Fans

I have no idea what is about to unfold for the Habs franchise and fanbase but I wanted to send some support from a Canucks fan. Remembering the whole Bertuzzi incident and how crappy it was - I hope it's not bad like that. Hopefully it's something minor and easily forgotten. Either way - I hope the Habs go on to make it to the playoffs and that it doesn't tarnish the franchise too much.

Yeah.

You guys defiantly have my support. I just hope this isn't as serious as everyone is making it out to be. If it is something terrible than this will be a sad day for a great franchise and the league we love.

Thanks for the support, unfortunately whatever this turns out to be. It will not only be a reflection on the Montreal Canadiens, but the NHL as well.

I support you guys too. Whatever it is, Habs fans are still the best fans in the league.

I love the Oilers but the Habs are my mistress.

While I don't really feel much sympathy for the players that got themselves into whatever predicament they're in, you fans certainly don't deserve this, this year of all times. I'm sure there are plenty of people poking fun, but lets face it, the Canadiens are too large a piece of the NHL to take a serious hit like this without it hurting us all, and for that reason I hope this "situation" blows over quickly so the habs can get back to focusing on what's supposed to be important: winning hockey games.

I'm a NJ Devil fan and have no idea at all would could/could not be going on tomorrow. I hope it doesn't tarnish the great image of the Montreal Canadien franchise and embarrass their fans.

This is very true and one of the reasons I feel the need to lend my support to you Montreal Canadien fans. Its important we all stick together if the news is as bad as being rumored. This is our sport and will always be our sport.

Sucks to see this happen to my #2 team.

I'll still wear my Habs Jersey no matter what. For you see, it doesnt just represent a team, it represents hockey and a generation...

I think everyone's had a good chuckle at the expense of the Habs in the last few weeks, but this just sucks for everyone. I don't think anyone is REALLY enjoying this, and if you are it's sick. Imagine your team pulling this.

Keep your heads up.

Time will tell what happens but whatever happens, the fans and the rest of the NHL have to rally around it. No franchise needs this, and no fan-base deserves it.

Same guys, I hope everything turns out OK and it is not to serious, Honestly something big happening during the 100 year anniversary year would be dreadful.

Hope it works out guys.

As a longtime Diehard fan of the Bruins(also the Pens but what im talking about relates more to the B's) and all the other Boston/New England teams I really hope for you guys that there isn't something majorly bad for you guys because and I can atest it will hurt you guys more than some of the players on the team. Alot of these players are there for the money only and its just a job they go in do their work and leave, but for us the sports fans its a passion its a love its something we believe in and something we almost live for. If these athletes have a bad experience in a city they leave and go somewhere else problem solved hands washed but we the fans are left to deal with the longterm embarressment and pain that our "Flag" has endured we are the ones that cringe when some news reporter makes a pun at our teams expense, we are the ones who take the abuse on message boards like these for rooting for who we root for. But we are also there through thick and thin and no matter what nothing can shake us in our devotion.

So to the Habs fans as a Bruins fan and your most hated rival, tonight I put all that aside and I feel for each and everyone of you keep your heads high keep on believing in your "Flag" don't let the jackasses with their ever so smart ass remarks bring you down and eventually they will go away.

I really hope this is not as big as it sounds because no fan should have to be put through the ringer by any overpaid athletes. Hang in there guys Keep on believing!

Best Wishes to the Fans.
Tommy Boy
