Canadiens Scandal (Kostitsyn brothers and Hamrlik linked to AXE gang bust, CKAC)

Just figured I'd write a small report on what it officially is.

Basically there was a big raid against streets gangs in Montreal a few days ago. One of the gangster was in possession of financial documents and bills of the credits card of the Kostitsyn brothers. Apparently they were good friend and they have been partying together for a while. He also knew Hamrlik.

Yep, that's all.

Montreal's medias for you.

Confirmed by Ron Fournier's radio show. I don't have a link but I'm sure a lot of people can confirm this epic failure.

when I saw demers apologizing to jean beliveau and someone else saying it never happened before in habs history I thought pedophiles or arms/ drug dealing. I have no respect for MTL sports journalists

Worse then that, they're not even considered as suspects.

Can we find the rioters from last year's playoffs and get them to burn down CKAC? We could replace it with a station that plays nothing but accordion music and goat noises. It'll be tight, y'all.

It's coming straight out from the Ron Fournier' show. He is holding a fresh copy of the newspaper of "La Presse" that was printed at midnight. THIS is the article we were all waiting for.

Situation embarrassante

So there ISN'T a group of players that were secretly conducting Satanic human-sacrificial rituals deep in the subterranean bowels of the Bell Center? Pfft.

The thing is: no one in the media except La Presse knew what was happening, so they all speculated like idiots (and like us...)

I'm not sure what's worse... The let down of the story or the # of times people have said "epic fail" in this thread... If that phrase isn't played out by now I don't know what is...

The Newspaper in a hurry publishes aujourd’hui an embarrassing file on the brothers Andrei and Sergei Kostitsyn that would have links with a presumed member of the organized crime that was stopped in the framework of the police operation Axis.

This presumed criminal one, Pasquale Mangiola, 38 years, was stopped for illegal dealings in drug and it would have used intermediary between several groups criminalisés.

During the police investigation that took to the operation Axis, the police recorded several telephone conversations of Mangiola to his unawareness. Several of these conversations would have taken place with the brothers Kostitsyn.
