This is it? I was expecting there to be a dead hooker and some cocaine involved.

Im glad its a letdown. As much as I dislike the Habs, I dont want to see bad things happen in the NHL, and to the Canadiens organisation, like the rumours were suggesting. Its a good thing if indeed the players weren't doing anything wrong.

Apparently they were good friend and they have been partying together for a while. He also knew Hamrlik.

Yep, that's all.

Montreal's medias for you.

Confirmed by Ron Fournier's radio show. I don't have a link but I'm sure a lot of people can confirm this epic failure.
Could one of the Konstitsyn bros being demoted to the AHL have anything to do with this?

I would tend to agree that it still could be serious.
Have there been any players that have actually been arrested? What was recorded on the telephone calls? I guess we all wait. I hope that it is nothing because Hockey seemed to be one of the only Scandal free sports lately.

It could potentially be a big deal, but most likely the Kostitsyns were just having gangsters take care of their finances, which is not really a crime, I don't think.

Funny though...The Kostitsyns are in with the crips. That's hilarious. It actually is with the crips. They have a Montreal chapter.

Wow.

The Mayor of the Detroit and the Governor of Illinois apparently did stuff more illegal than what these brothers did, if they did anything illegal at all.

Actually, if you think of gangs and organized crime, you think of Chicago, Miami, New York, or LA, not Montreal.

in light of this pathetic excuse of a huge story, thanks to the fans of other teams for their support. while this was unravelling it was nice to see support from all sorts of fans. It just shows the passion we have for this sport.

I hope this doesnt make you guys hate the habs more, it was really a weak attempt by the montreal media. Good night to you all.

Yeah, I wouldn't run away too quickly here...I'm still hearing reports yonder too...Bettman being on his way to Montreal and the big 3 names being the K-bros and Hamrlik...I think someone was being stupid before...but was just speculated ridiculously for a while and something is yet coming...you don't have that much hype over some players buying drugs...

No, Sergei has been sucking it up recently, he just needed to go to Hamilton to gain his confidence back

Montreal media is much much worse then New York's coverage of Yankees.

While it isn't something to brag about, in Canada, Montreal is a hotbed for organized crime. It probably does pale in comparison to the big American cities though.

I would say the fact that he's sucked since the beginning of the year is a way bigger factor.

Good to see it isn't as bad as the Montreal media was making it out to be. Although it could still be serious for the Kostitsyn bros.

I am kinda dissapointed though. Expecting a lot worse and the media should did do a good job in getting our hopes up.
