If I ever see a gang member outside my house in Montreal I'm going too:

A) Strike a pose.. and hope I out-pose the "gangster".
B) Have my girlfriend try to sell as much lipstick as possible to the intruders.

That's likely because the cops are corrupt and look the other way.

That just means the criminals are getting smarter....no matter what the police do...there is a demand out there and a lot of money to be made if you're willing to take the risk...this won't change.

Alex Burrows' dilemma on what to say to trash talk the Kostitsyn brothers to get them off their game is now over.

So, the Kostitsyns are friends with some Crips. The Habs jerseys are red, Bloods colors. There's the problem, people.

Go read up on the violent history of the biker gangs in Quebec and try and come back with that statement.

I think everybody thought it was going to be bigger than this. However the crime lord was providing a lot of things for the Kosti Bros. So if there's a link to prostitution, one way or another they will be in trouble.

There has to be something more to this.

This is not destroy the centennial material.

I was convinced the Kostistyn brothers were helping an international human cargo operation luring women out of Belarus and Carey Price had killed one ala "Very Bad Things"with all the hype that was going on.

Quebec + biker gangs don't exactly give me a manly reason to hop off my razor scooter and do a any research.

Not that I'm aware of. As much as I hate Cloutier even I can't place any belief in that rumour.

I expected drugs and gambling. The only thing I see killing a career is the gambling portion, as in fixing scores.

Well, there's plenty of other things that can kill careers. If they put you in jail, it's hard to play hockey.

frick the Montreal media is insane. What player would want to play over there? Fans go nuts when the team starts to lose, all that unwanted pressure. Hell no, no thank you.

This is the lowest point in the history of the Montreal Canadiens.

THAT'S IT?!

Jesus ****ing Christ.

Are you telling me this is the big dark mark, and worst thing in the history of the Montreal Canadiens?! I can't believe someone was actually "mourning" over this crap.

There may be more to it. The media in Montreal seems to have really hyped this to unbelievable extents...

I went to read the habs official website forum....people are mentioning murder among other stuff...who knows.

When a media does an expose it is not exactly abnormal that they leave details to the sequels. Better to have juice for several days running, and when stuff gets outed, you usually get more people talking and more dirt comes out from sources that were previously silent.

That said, you would have expected more than mere implication by association from the build up, with Habs insiders seemingly being on the verge of tears from the supposed negative ramifications here.
If they had more concrete dirt, they would usually put something solid in the lead story to make it seem legit to everyone that they're hard line with the story. So that makes me question if they do have that, or if they might just have stuff they cannot corroborate now and hope to get the ball rolling with this.... or if they're simply cooking a lot from a little. Not that it doesn't smell, but few people who are making solid money and are active on the clubbing scene don't know anyone peddling drugs. Doesn't mean you let them have access to your bank account of course.

Is this seriously all there is to it? What's funny is that because there are a few players loosely tied to this, it's supposedly a big scandal. But if it were an NHL team owner involved in organized crime, no one would even bat an eye because of the "been there, done that" factor.

There's still stuff circulating around and other rumours, but I think it's just the station, or dude who first broke it grabbing at straws to save their ass.
