Technically i'd say the "darkest days" were the Houle/Tremblay years when a potentially great team was dismantled for garbage in return...remember the Roy trade, the Turgeon trade, the Richer,Tucker,Wilkie trade. At least this time any moves made will be well considered by a responsible management.
I don't know how much faith I have in Carbo though, constantly shuffling the lines seems like his only game plan. This team has no discipline, cohesive system or passion on the ice and its at least in part on the coach's shoulders to get control of his players (not counting the off-ice stuff).
Also...how quickly people forget the Theodore-Hells Angels scandal a few years back, its seems the mob just loves this team.
