The Maple Leafs are like the Manchester United of hockey (minus all the success )
No, the Leafs are definitely the Team England of the NHL. Absurd hype despite middling results, hilarious mismanagement for long stretches of time, haven't won anything since the 60's, passionate fans who love to turn on their players at the first sign of trouble. It's really a perfect analogy.

I'm not going to pretend that hockey is bigger in San Jose than it is in Toronto, but you're absolutely wrong. You've also never been to San Jose. Hockey is more popular here than you think. We don't sell out all but one game this season for nothing.

Good luck man.
You left the blues off there bud

4 pages and I can not believe no one has mentioned the blues, they are one of the hardest working teams in the league with one of the most exciting youth cores including oshie perron Berglund petro and of course EJ. If it wasnt for the injuries this season the team would easily be a legit playoff contender. This team is on its way up, and is exciting to watch every night.

A combination of twenty years of good hockey teams and thirty years of economic awfulness in the metro Detroit area/Michigan have meant that you'll run into displaced because of employment Red Wings fans at essentially any other professional hockey game in North America down to an AA minor league teams playing in South Carolina or New Mexico.

There's something kind of comfortable about knowing you'll find part of your tribe wherever you go.

This is easy, you should support the Blue Jackets. Why? Because you can't be called a band-wagoner and we are an up and coming franchise with tremendous young talent. This year will be the first year we make the playoffs.

Psh.

The Thrashers need more supporters than the Preds do.

Um what. You're on the verge of making your first ever playoff appearance and then you suddenly jump on ship to cheer for them once they get there. Yep. That's definitely the definition of a bandwagoner.

Are you kidding me? You would call a fan a band-wagoner because he joined in on liking a team that has never made it to the playoffs before? Sure we are about to go to the playoffs for the first time, but I would hardly ever look down at someone because they decided to start rooting for the Jackets at this point in time. And for the record I have no clue what you were even trying to post because it made little sense to me but I hope I got the gist of it.

What the hell do the Wild have to do with the fact that the poster I quoted apparently hasn't been following the NHL long enough to know that the CBJ have enjoyed excellent support for some gawd-awful hockey over seven of their eight seasons.

No logic needed to understand that point.
