That's the worst game I've ever seen James Neal play. If half the roster weren't injured I'd say sit him for a game or two. He tripped over his own two feet three times that I counted and the rest of the time he tried to beat four guys to no avail. Bad all around.
I like Ott but Eriksson is being wasted on the third line. Please Tippet I don't care which but one of Eriksson/Bruno needs to be playing with Ribs/Lehts. This team is going to struggle to score without Richards and playing the leading goal scorer on the third line is stupid.
Modano better have had the flu, that was just craptacular.
Ribiero didn't play well either. Heck I'm not sure who did show up besides Ott and Barch and that's not going to win.
Gah, I don't want to see what horrors await the San Jose game if this is the kind of effort that's going to be shown. Ugly fellas, just ugly.
In fact, Modano apparently did have the flu (I don't know if that's what you're referencing or not, I just found it curious). He was kept away from the practice rink on Sunday because of it, and I would assume, since most sick guys show for treatment, they were worried about him infecting other guys.
