Lupul has partial No-Trade Clause starting 7/1/09

Per IB's site:

Joffrey Lupul, PHI - NTC [starting July 1, 2009; Lupul gives a list of 6 teams that he will not accept a trade to - if his team misses the playoffs in a year, he can be traded from the end of that season to the next trade deadline without restriction]

Thought I'd throw that out there.

What I'd like to know is... how the hell does Lupes get any sniff of any type of NTC?

meh not really a big restriction since he has to specify at start of season, and it isnt in effect yet.

I wish everyone had conditional NTCs

If Holmgren poaches Justin Pogge in the off-season, just wait until you hear from Brian Burke about it.

I felt so bad for that kid, listening to Toronto's home crowd hammer him in his first home start.

I hope Holmgren poaches a deer and throws it in goal. At least the damn thing won't leave the crease.

These NTC's are disastrous. Yeah it's possible to work around them but it makes things extremely difficult. Granted this one isn't TOO bad but still. Homer has got to stop.

well at least it isnt a full NTC like Briere and Hartnell have. I can live with 6 teams.

I wonder if he had these tendencies when he was in bantams and such. You'd think a coach or his parents or something would say "Son, if you want to mess with the puck so much, you should probably rethink the whole goaltending thing." But then again, I assume someone said that to his brother and he's not heard from anymore.

Well I have never been a fan of full NTC or no movement clauses anyway.

Yeah I agree, in general it's just dangerous. But Hartnell has proved to me that he's way to important to this team to trade and it may prevent Homer from moving him in a serious salary situation. Just a silly rationalization.

well if he would cut down on the stupid penalties I would agree with you.
He does bring alot of other things to the table, he just needs to cut down on the stupid, penalties.

Half our team says hi . If you havent noticed, half our team love to take stupid penalties... thats what we are good at. Yes, Hartnell takes an extra few, but hey he does other positive things so Im not complaining

Lupul is so not worth this money. It's quite a shame.
