This one will be blowout #4 . Although it is interesting to note that Gadsby scored more points per game than Greschner .

That's cause he was a better player. Set a record for assists in a season by a d-man with the Rangers and is in the Hall.

It's amazing that in this team's long history that each of these lower numbers only has like one really great player. Sure there are some wonderful players along the line, but when you look #s 1-4 there's no debate.

I'm going to delete the other threads, the board is getting too cluttered.

I think Gadsby is more well known as a Wing than a Ranger though. But I'm sure we'll see two things.

#1, all the banners will be their tops
#2, players who played in the most recent eras will get the nod more often then not (players who played before the 1970s will not be as recognized).

People tend to say that the Rangers don't recognize any of their history before 1994 and it's kind of true that with the exception of the 70s, there's not much that the Rangers organization discusses besides the Messier era.

Gresch is getting the votes, but Gadsby is in the Hall.

but as I said, Gadsby only played 7 of his 21 seasons with the Rangers. He played 9 with the Blackhawks and 5 with the Wings. He did have a great career with the Rangers, but Greschner is known as a Ranger through and through. Played his whole career here.

Plus when you look at their career stats,
Gadby: GP: 1248 G: 130 A: 438 P:568 PIM: 1,539
Greschner: GP: 982 G: 179 A: 431 P: 610 PIM: 1,226

Gresch scored more points in 266 less games and had more PIMs per game. More goals per game, and more assists per game.

Granted, Gresch got to play in the 80s, so it's a bit of an unfair comparison.

Not trying to split hairs on who's better, simply saying, in this case, there was more than one great guy at the number.

lol, unfortunately a lot of those higher numbers will just have one player, so no need for a poll.

Didn't even bother looking at anyone other than Gresch. He was one of my favorites.

LOL, there won't be Avery at least. He's only played 86 games as a Ranger
