Comrie is a free-agent. I'm guessing that McAmmond was included because of salary cap reasons.

why would the Sens get another centre who earns more than 4 million. Another trade perhaps?

Not sure why the Isles would do this trade. With this package, I would have thought they could get more. McAmmond and the 30th pick of the draft? Not really a good return.

Ottawa I can understand. Despite all the silly rumours from Edmonton (which are not true, considering that Comrie is still good friends with many of the Oilers from that era), Comrie is a good dressing room guy, and probably got along well with the Sens players when he was there.
