Yes. Also, they should write into his next contract that he has to always have the mustache.

good puck moving defencemen and he's versatile and can play forward.

i think the leafs should keep him, but play him on the wing, where i think he's better suited, and if a d man goes down or get thrown out of the game, his flexibilty becomes an asset.

I remember in the offseason Leafs fans were willing to give him away for a late round pick.

Right now he has clearly raised his value.... Probably so high that the Leafs wont trade him. If he can keep up his play the Leafs D-core will br very strong for years.

leafs should keep him. but on the other hand since campoli got a first, i think white would be able to bring an earlier one back in a package deal like the ott nyi trade

We're a very fickle fan base. He really turned his game around this year though, plays like a whole new guy.

When Paul Maurice was the coach of the Leafs he praised Ian White non stop, and called him the most hardworking player.

His hardwork has really paid out this year with him being our best defenseman along with Luke Schenn. He's cheap and very useful, and a top 4 now. Wont go as far as calling him a top 2 defenseman, but he's our number 4 on the team.

He played real well in his rookie season as well. Last year he was all over the map. I think comming out of training camp being a healthy scratch was a wake up call.

It takes either a very special person or a provocateur (or both) to read 15 posts and then write something that is at complete variance with every single one of them.

i agree that the leafs should definitely keep him. If the Leafs end up trading any of kubina, kaberle and van ryn, then their D-corps would be considerably weaker.

The ott-nyi trade was sort of dumb on both parts and i think that both teams end up losers in the long run (maybe ott gets a little better than the islanders). The islanders gave away two of their best trading assets for a low first rounder and the sens gave away the first rounder which they should have kept. on top of that, they got a rental forward. murray's trying for the playoffs and is trying to save his ass

Unless a deal really jumps out at Burke, I don't think he should be moved, just like Stajan. He's versatile, hardworking, and great at both ends. Unless we can package him with someone else to get a 1st+, I don't think it's necessary to push the envelope.

I'd say he is MUCH more valuable to the Leafs than in a trade.

We should keep him.

He really did a 180 in terms of his play though. The most improved player on the Leafs by a fair margin.
