I'll be watching with my Mats shirt on

I hope we give him what he deserves and give him a very long standing O. I doubt we will but it would put a smile on my face if we did.
We SHOULD give him one, but I'm afraid that we won't at all.

Yea, and Delgado was pretty much in the same boat as Mats (besides the fact that Mats was older). I think it shows what a great place Toronto really is. Athletes don't want to leave once they are here. Delgado's Jays were way out of it at the time and he still didn't waive his NTC. There are exceptions (like Vince Carter) but there are a lot of cases just like that.

Whats the deal with Vancouver? Why do they have "Vancouver" written across the front of their home jerseys?

You know as much as I say I hope Mats gets booed relentlessly, I don't know if I can bring myself to boo him, but that doesn't mean I'll cheer for him either. I just don't know. He did so much in his career here, I'm just upset he's a Canuck since I hate that team. Oh well. I'll be happy just as long as we lose this game.

because we smoke too much pot and might forget which team to cheer for.

I'm ambivalent about Mats' return. I'm not cheering for him to succeed but I'm also not cheering against him. I haven't paid any attention to how he's done this year.

I would just as soon he had picked a team that wouldn't have come to Toronto at all this season, though. In one sense I don't care whether people boo or cheer, but I suppose I will find it pretty frustrating to read all the self righteous babble that will get written if there's booing. People should respond how they choose, imo, and no one should try to tell them what to do.

When Wendel returned for the first time there was a huge ovation as soon as he stepped on the ice. I'll never forget that. I don't think Mats has the same place in the hearts of Leafs fans.

I'm afraid it'll be the opposite. Every time he touches the puck, I expect boo's, sadly.

btw Hordichuk's wife is in labour so he's in Vancouver. Mason Raymond will be taking his place on the 4th line.

Too bad that HF didn't have a Sundin self righteous IGNORE feature. The guy screwed over the Fans and organization at the trade deadline and then departed leaving the team empty handed..

Ron Wilson this morning said lucky Luke will get a lot of head to head ATOI verses Sundin today.. I am hoping the opportunity arises for Schenn to ERASE the traitor tonight.. It would elevate young Schenn in the hearts of Leaf Nation fans like past greats like Wendel and Dougie, and be the best way to pay Sundin back.

Booing is irrelevant almost, however Sundin leaving town with a few new bumps and bruises is the best payback one could hope for. So lets hope he gets what he deserves tonight..

Honestly, antics and situation(s) aside, it will be awkward watching Mats play against us...

Oh man, that would be an incredible passing of the torch if that scenerio were to happen. I hope Luke can give him the Malkin treatment tonight.

I think those idiots who choose to boo Mats have a short memory. Sundin provided many reasons for these idiots to cheer over the years. He's done more for this city than many.

Well, I'm happy that most people here have class and won't boo Sundin. I completely agree, if I were going to tonight's game, I would give him a standing ovation. It really saddens me how some leaf fans are treating our former captain with such disrespect.

I would even do a Sun-din chant.. I can't wait for the game. I hope they give him what he deserves.

I hope we give him the biggest ovation in hockey history tonight. But once the game starts, I'm cheering against him. Well... check that I'm a part of draft nation ... but I won't take any solace if he scores.
