Great period. We need to tighten up in the defensive end.

Good shot by Richie at the end. Also liked that Stevens put out Richards and Carter out for the last 41 seconds, especially considering the face-off in the defensive zone.

I ****ing hate FSN Pittsburgh. Every time there's action after the whistle, they're zooming in on one of the homo twins instead of what's going on.

He hadn't had the puck for over at least 10 seconds at that point. I understand it went by him, 3 seconds before the hit, but that is text book interference.
I was wondering that, he never touched the puck

Amazing first period. I wonder if both teams will be able to keep this pace up for the rest of the game.

Ive said it before, but, upshall and giroux play great together.

Richards with 2 GREAT scoring chances, hopefully it keeps up and he gets one by the end of the game

Suggestion: Start that action onto those homo twins so we can see the action?

Short of 1 shift, the Pens have carried the play ? What the **** are they watching. I love how Gonchar avoided a hit to set up the goal, **** the Pens are soft. It looked like Malkin was crying after Albie hit him
Pens will surely get an early PP, but keep the penalties to a minimum and hammer these ****s into the ice

That was a surprisingly enjoyable and real solid period of hockey.

Usually the pace of these matiné games doesn't pick up until the 3rd, but this one was fast paced right from the start.

What is the status of Ossi Väänänen?

Is he really a healthy scratch for tonight?

I thought he was injured.

Has his play not been up to par or why is he not in the lineup?

Oh yeah, and the prime example for how stupid the Penguins commentators are:

5-on-3 situation, Errey: "One forward and two D for the Flyers".

THANK YOU CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!!!

Our coach is ****ing him in the ass.

Hes been benched the the past few weeks, for what I think is no reason at all. I think it all began because he was -3 one night and didnt use his body enough, and Steven's has used it to never play him again

Over ****ing Jones and Alberts no less!

A lot of times the Pens will have two forwards out in those situations. Not that I'm defending our god-awful announcers.

It would be cool if there was a Phillies Carnival, so we could watch Brett Myers Wii-Boxing with his wife.
