****ing balls...Roli gets the start tonight, when will he get the break he NEEDS??? Tonight is his 15th straight start. I had a good feeling about the game until now. (Hopefully all this *****ing comes back to bite me in the ass like it usually does) But I am really worried about him starting this game, it should be JDD tonight.

Weird MacT dresses MacIntyre when Roy's not going to play.

I'd rather have Jacques to be honest lol.

Losing this game would be inexcusable. The flames are missing 2 of their top 6 in Langkow and Borque.
The 2nd line needs to start producing again. Our top line can't be relied on to put up numbers every single game.

Are you kidding me? Roli should be playing this game and of that there is no question whatsoever. Honestly, whenever Roloson has an off game the majority of this board starts with the he's tired routine and frankly it has become tiring to listen to. Roli will hit that tired wall at some point but he hasn't hit it at all yet. I agree he needs a rest and I'd guess he will sit against TB and that will give him 5 days off but not tonight...you can't bew serious about him not playing tonight!

I didn't read through the whole thread, but I assume we have taken care of the cowbell quota...so here is the other missing ingredient for a game with Cowgary:

This could explain why Oiler Olli is so melancholy...

Heavy Fuel that actually made me laugh out loud, thank you.

As for tonight's game, anyone else think that Prust's kidneys hurt just thinking about tonight's game?

The yodel girl video, or the joke?

(What's weird about that video, is that I started off laughing at it, but then found myself hynotized by the brunette yodel girl and I had to watch the whole thing...)

Anyway, to quote Conan on tonight's game (Barbarian, not O'Brien), the goal tonight is:

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!

he was treated like a king when he was here and told to wait until the biggest free agent of the summer signed with us
hes an ******* for even thinking he deserved the time of day over hossa
He wasnt told to wait. He was told that there was no offer for him due to the pursuit of Hossa. Obviously he is going to pursue other options.

So, despite Roy not in the lineup for the Flames, MacT still opts to take out Jacques in place of MacIntyre. I don't like that decision, I thought that in his lone game this year, Jacques was not as big of a liability as MacIntyre and the corsi and shot numbers seem to agree with me. http://timeonice.com/playershots.php...001&last=21230

I am dead serious. Have you not watched the last 2 games? He lets in the weak goals that he should and usually does save. He is tired, he is being over played...JDD has played Calgary twice (once in pre-season) and did well both times. Roli is going to burn out before the playoffs come...if stay in it.

I have no problem with Mac being in the lineup despite no Roy.

Why not be the aggressor for once? Roy wasnt in the lineup the day MacIntyre destroyed Boyd and Prust...

If the Oilers lose because SMac (who actually has a goal) is in over JFJ, well I dunno what to say. It's not like JFJ has a tonne of games this year to be Corsi-worthy really.

I would like to tell you where you can stick your corsi and shot numbers, but it would not go over so well. This team plays differently with MacIntyre in the lineup. MacIntyre should be on the bench for every game - and for those games when the opposing team hasn't a heavyweight, let him run rough shot over their roster. The idea of a heavyweight countering a heavyweight is nonsense. MacIntyre needs to enforce - that is, keep the opposing players honest, whomever they may be; and he should - when able - be taking liberties himself. This team is far better off with him on the bench. For the remainder of the year, play Jacques on the third (Moreau Cogliano Jacques) and play both Stortini and MacIntyre on the fourth. Teams would take the Oilers a lot more seriously... especially given the fact 'we' have Souray and Peckham on defense as well.
