Proposal- Bos-ana

bergeron, lashoff and a 3rd for pronger

seems fair with the way bergy has been playing and ana gets a good d prospect

bergy salary is 4.75 per for 2 more years
pronger salary is 6.25 next year

b's let axe go this offseason and the money for next year is a wash

I think its actually pretty good. Might need to upgrade the 3rd. Bergeron is high risk but hes young and is a pretty good 1/2 center. If he pans out... and he probably will hed make Ana's forward crop dangerous for quite a whiel

I would say its a pretty good trade, and bumping the pick to a first would be doable.

agreed, but bergeron would make a good second line centre for anaheim

He isnt a rental. I would do Bergeron, Lashoff, and a 1st for Pronger, though I would be pretty concerned about Bergeron's health.

No from Boston.

Bergeron is untouchable, even with a player like Pronger coming back.

Rask would be traded centuries before Bergeron.
you're kidding right?
untouchable??
he's a 3rd line center on the b's making a million dollars per goal...
rask is the future in net....10+ years.....

I think the emergence of Krejci as well as the play of Savard along with Bergeron's injury troubles makes him very available in the right deal.

True, But I don't think Anaheim needs to worry about forwards with Perry, Getzlaf and Ryan. Though depth never hurt.

I would agree. Then again, I'm not one to just look at this season.

Call back when Krejci has back to back 70 point seasons as 20 and 21 year old.

Krejci is going to get paid, and then Boston is stuck with three centers making a lot of money, probably not something that they can afford. Someone will have to go.

How is he "almost dead"? If he was almost dead, he'd be in a hospital right now on life support.

If Bergeron regains his 2006-07 form (which seems to be happening lately), then yes, it would be hard to move him because he brings so much to the team.

His defensive play is unmatched by any forward in Boston, and his vision on the ice is excellent. I'm confident he'll continue to improve and become the player he used to be. This season was going to be difficult no matter what, but he's shown flashes of old Bergeron lately. Plus, he's only 23 years old, so it's not like he can't improve.

Because he's better than David Krejci
Marc Savard is a UFA next season
He's the Bruins best defensive forward

I'd much, much, much rather move a 31 year old Savard.

So the Bruins should trade for a player that makes more money than Bergeron (Pronger). Bright idea.....

Allocating funds to another position sounds like a bad idea? Which makes more sense, three centers making over four million a year (assuming Krejci gets that), or three defensman making over three million a year?

Well we'd have 3 D-men taking up something like 17 million, actually.

really? Savard has been awesome.
Boston will obviously be trying to resign him.
do you think Krejci or bergeron will be able to take his spot?
