In one week, he singlehandedly defused a potential PR "bomb" by approaching the scandal head-on, and also re-ignited a lackluster Kovalev.

The man has very broad shoulders.

I didn't think he could ever top trading away Theo with a broken ankle....but he has.

My admiration for BG has increased exponentially.

Yes but... these aren't solid foundations to build on to put together a nice finish to the season.

Could we say that taking away Kovalev is the reason why a player like Plecky strated to produce again? What about the Schneidey trade?

Seriously... he might have turned this season around when everything was going to be even wrost then it was. He just showed the NHL and the Montreal media jungle what it is to be a GM.

The 12 PPs for Ottawa vs 4 for Habs didn't help the SOG against stats.

Would be pretty sad if the Sens couldn't run up the SOG with that much puck control time gifted by the refs.

the next 2 games will show us all if this team is for real or just a pretender.

van @ home...no excuses, if we believe to be a contender..we are at home against a playoff caliber team who is hot, we must win

@ phi..playing a good team, on the road..seems like a recipe for a loss with the way the habs have been playing...to be honest, even if we lose by 1..we can build off of it. a complete domination where we get doubled in shots will show we are just back to 2 years ago where we cant play good teams on the road. which ultimately means we cant win playoff type games.

Trying to change our luck, needed to change something for a couple weeks. I'll bring it back again in a couple weeks!

That's funny you remember the Traverse avatar, I gotta dig that up again for old times sake.

Like some said, we only have the cap space for one, therefore i would go for a physical D. A veteran like Adam Foote would be exactly what we need and shouldnt cost much. The Avs are last in their conference (not out of the playoffs though) and they should look to improve the team for next year. Unless Foote has a no-trade clause i hope we target him.
