We played awful in the first period, hopefully they'll kick it for good in the second period.

Sounds like a typical first game back from a road trip. These types of games are frustrating as hell.

Well, that was craptacular. Let's hope they're just a little better in the second.

I only saw the last 7 min and Kovalev was not really impressing....didn't seem to skate, fight for the puck. Oh well, all the team looked bad.

How was kovalev overall for those who saw all the game...?

Kovalev made a great pass to Ryder which set up a scoring chance..passed it between the two D as they kris-crossed, got the pass through right as the gap closed. Then had a nice one time snap shot that just missed.

Whole team isn't very impressive tonight though but Kovalev has shown flashes of brilliance.

Good on the PP but his teamates were looking too much for him and no one was shooting. Made a very nice pass to ryder to create a 2 on 1 on his 2nd shift (I think). But other than that he looked lost.

Let's give him some time to adapt to his teamates, to the system and let's give some time to Julien to find him a good place.

That joke could be good it wasn't utilized so often, but still, I'll give you a C for the effort.

Great bunch of saves in a row there by Garon, great reflexes kicking out the leg for the save and then stoned the panthers point blank.

Why so negative???? You must be one of those fair weather fans. Anyway, Kovalev must be doing something right...he has more shots than anyone else on the team so far. Give the guy some slack...this is really his first game with the team and he is now playing with new linemates...once again. It takes time to get used to one another.

You never open your mouth without subtracting from the sum of human knowledge.

or
You couldn't get a clue during the clue mating season in a field full of horny clues if you smeared your body with clue musk and did the clue mating dance.
